Name: Megara
Nickname: Meg - by friends only
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Sexuality: Hetero, but...she's got exceptions
Fairytale: Greek Mythology
Year: 3rd Year Uni
Face Claim: Isla Fisher
Personality:
Megara is anywhere from sweet as candy to sour as rotten milk. Her moods often go to extremes, but she can stop herself easily from those extremes too. When she's mad, you'll know she's mad, and when she's happy, expect to seeing writing in the sky. Meg's both bold and independent, and she's well-aware of her sexuality and the hold she has other men, hence her flirtatious side. She's got a very low-opinion of them and it's mostly because of how negative all of her experiences with them have been. Always quick to reply and extremely sarcastic, Megara is fairly pessimistic with many things, sassy with others, and she knows life isn't always fair. She's got the emotional scars to prove it.
Appearance:
Although Megara isn't as tall as she'd like to be, her big personality makes up for her. At barely 5'4, Meg thinks that this is her worst characteristic; what makes up for it is the fact that she’s extremely slim. She's got a reddish-brown mane of hair and identical color of eyes to match. Since dark colors aren't really her favorite, Megara sticks with brightly colored clothing and an occasional fancy dark, for special occasions.
History:
With Megara, there’s not an awful lot to tell. She was born and raised in a village near Mount Olympus, and her family was nothing more than common people. Because she liked adventure from a young age, Meg explored a good portion around the Mount (later being taught that the gods and goddesses live up there). As she grew up, Megara became eye candy for the male gender and she often took advantage of that. The first heartbreak she suffered, however, tore her to pieces. She sold her soul to Hades in exchange for her boyfriend’s life, but the boy ended up leaving her anyways. Because of that, Meg swore she’d never fall in love again, nor could she afford to. Since her soul belonged to Hades, she had to do everything he asked her to. Including the mission to bring down the almighty Hercules.
Now that man fell for her at first sight, but Meg was hardly interested. She had one goal and one goal only, and she intended to keep her end of the bargain if Hades kept his. If she found out Hercules’ weakness and Hades managed to destroy him, then Megara would become a free soul. There was just one thing she hadn’t anticipated - falling in love with the target. Long story short, she died to save his life, and unlike her first boyfriend, Hercules actually did all in his power to get her back. He risked his life to save her soul from Hades, ending in success.
However, the happy ending never came for Megara. For a while, she was the main source of Hercules’ pride and joy, but later she just became the trophy heroine, and she disapproved of that, thus leading to another heartbreak. She now believes even less in true love and in the chance of ever falling in love again. At least this time, she’s a free soul, not belonging to anyone. She’s made it one of her life goals to destroy Hades for what he did to her the years she was his prisoner.
