Personality: Despite any claims, Artemis is almost nothing like her brother, personality-wise. She's quick, smart, and extremely well-versed in comebacks. To Artemis, life is just a game in which to survive, she must know exactly how to pull strings, and she's an immortal. The few things she shares with her brother are probably the facts that she is stubborn as well, and she remains unconditionally loyal to him under any circumstance. One can't exactly say Artemis is moody, but rather she's the type to mind her own business, especially if it doesn't concern her. She won't ask, she won't tell, that's the way it goes with her (unless, of course, with certain people she trusts). Because one of her greatest passions is hunting, Artemis tends to be free-spirited, never one to submit, which gets her into trouble often, nothing she can't get out of, but still...She'll be immature and childish when it comes to her sisters, simply because it's entertaining and amusing to piss them off, especially Aphrodite. When it comes to love and romance, Artemis doesn't really stick. She doesn't care too much for relationships, and every guy who's ever tried winning her heart, never could. Not for real anyways. She could be a player most of the time, mostly because she has fun with it, but it has a lot to do with the fact that she's a virgin and likes staying that way for now. Artemis has always taken advantage of her looks and the game she most frequently plays is a seduction of the weaker sex. And seeing as how she is able to stop anything from going too far, she does this often. She's too proud of her femininity to go past seducing. She's taboo-hands off.
Appearance: Artemis is hardly a simple one to look at. Her blonde locks of hair shape her round face, and her bright blue eyes are the first thing anyone notices when they first look at her. Standing tall and proud at 5'8'', Artemis has a hunter's body. She tends to wear darker-colored clothes for casual wear, but give her the right dress, and she won't care what color it is, as long as she looks good in it.
History: Really, it started with Zeus and Leto, who had twins: Artemis and Apollo. Artemis was firstborn, then delivered her brother. Because of this incident, Artemis was declared the goddess of childbirth, along with virginity, the wilderness, hunting, sudden disease and death, and occasionally the moon. There had been a few situations where the twins were put in danger due to the fact that they were born at all, mainly when Hera, Zeus' wife, forbade the solid ground to allow human women give birth, therefore resulting in the twins being born on an island. This definitely angered Hera, and she had monsters attack the twins, which Apollo killed.
Really, main thing to learn from Artemis' past is that one should never get involved with her unless he or she knows what exactly they're getting into. When she's serious, the woman is dead serious. Adonis had claimed to be a better hunter than Artemis, and so she sent a wild boar to kill him. When Niobe claimed to be superior to Leto, because of the number of children, Apollo and Artemis killed the children with poisonous arrows. During the Trojan War, Artemis obviously took the Trojans side like her mother and her brother. She becalmed the winds of the sea as the Greek fleet was approaching. She saved Iphigenia from being sacrificed, who late became Hecate, Artemis' attendant and the goddess of witchcraft, the night, and of the underworld. The only man she's ever romantically loved was Orion, who was her hunting partner, but was killed by Artemis after he claimed she would be unable to shoot an arrow at his head while he was in the ocean-she was able.

TELLtheTALE
Sample Post:
Not a howling of the wind was hear, not a twig misplaced, and not a rustle of trees sounding. It was either that the forest was on her side, or she'd caused it to obey her tonight. Artemis was crouched low in the underbrush, her bow and arrow hidden, and herself disguised to camouflage with the shrubs and what was left of the greenery. She had one shot, and one shot only, but when did she ever miss? Aiming her arrow at the bear's leg, Artemis squinted a bit. Finally, she released it, and she stood up out of the bushes, watching as the arrow had swiftly cut through the bear's leg. The bear hardly noticed the arrow, so, out of annoyance, Artemis pulled out another arrow and fired, this time into the back of the bear. It stopped and looked at her. And yet again, she pulled out an arrow and had it penetrate through it's abdomen. It was strange how, clearly, the bear was in pain (for it was probably only about Artemis' size), but it made no charge for her, and it didn't act like it was angered.
'Is that what you've gone to? Killing for the thrill? Whatever happened to protecting them?' Artemis almost jumped at the closeness of the voice. She looked in every direction to hear who it came from, but only she and the bear were the only ones there. Well, she knew who it came from, but didn't know how. "You lost the right to question me when you challenged my ability, Orion," she called out, not exactly sure where to turn to say that. After all, he'd been a mere mortal when he had her try firing an arrow at his head from a great distance into the ocean. A mere mortal she'd fallen in love with, but nobody ever knew that. Perhaps Apollo had sensed something about it, but he never made mention of it to her. She'd fallen in love, and ever since then, was unsuccessful with the entire concept of the action.
Glancing over at the bear, Artemis almost felt sorry for firing at it, simply for the kill. She sighed with a scowl, put down her bow and arrows, then marched over to the bear. Kneeling beside it, she decided to undo her actions by snapping off the sharp side of each arrow, and then gently pulling the entire thing out, until all three arrows were out of the bear. What surprised Artemis was that the moment the bear was free of arrows, it got up and began walking away, as if nothing happened to it. The farther away it got, the harder it was to see it, until it seemed to disappeared altogether. She didn't understand it. She didn't even want to. Some things were always better left misunderstood.
