personailty:”I’m a complex guy, sweetheart.” That quote about sums it up in the least descriptive way possible. Dimitri is a ball of contradictions, but when one plays different roles their entire life, eventually they tend to lose sight of who they really are.

He’s sarcastic, witty, and tries to keep most interactions light. He has a bit of a dark past, one he doesn’t like to talk about though he’s not particularly ashamed of it. He did what had to be done at the time to survive, though it has left him with quite the inferiority complex. He doesn’t feel he deserves good things, though if he wants something bad enough he’s willing to change to at least give the appearance of deserving it.

He holds a long resentment toward royals, though it has faded over his time at Avalon. He rarely drinks, preferring to stay in complete control of all his faculties. When it comes to stress release he prefers to run or shoot a few hoops. He likes to plan things out, though he can also think quickly on his feet.

Although he can be charming and suave, he’s forever getting himself injured. Basically, Dimitri fails at life, and there’s even a youtube video to prove it.
appearance: At first glance, the best way to sum up Dimitri’s appearance is ‘average’. He is of average height and build, with brown hair, brown eyes and tan skin. His nose is his most distinguishing feature, having been broken in his younger years.

He’s quite devilishly handsome, with an attractive, confident air. His clothes are nothing special, usually leaning towards dark slacks or jeans, button up shirts or tees. His hair is usually a bit unruly, and he often goes a few days without shaving, but that only adds to the appeal.
history:Dimitri worked as a servant for the Romanov family in Saint Petersburg until the palace was invaded and most of the family and those within were killed, including his mother. Taking to the streets, he survived as a pickpocket until being taken in by an older conman named Vladimir.

Raising the child, Vladimir taught Dimitri all he knew about scams and thievery, and the boy was a natural. He was smooth, charming and handsome and excelled in his new lot in life until it was time for that one big scam, the one that would set them up for life: they were going to find someone who they could pass off as a grown Anastasia Romanov and collect the substantial reward.

As luck would have it they found the perfect girl... only she turned out to actually be the real Anastasia. When offered the reward, though, Dimitri turned it down because, as his luck would have it, he had fallen for her. Knowing he could never fit into her life of luxury he walked away.

Falling back into his old routine, he and Vlad forged some papers and got him enrolled in Avalon where he planned to con some unsuspecting rich folk and make their big fortune. What he never expected, though, was to find Anya already there. She believed he had taken the reward, and he didn’t set her straight, knowing it could never work between them. After much fighting and denying their feelings, though, he finally came clean and they decided to take a chance. It was rough going, but they managed to make it (mostly) work until Anya got word that her grandmother was ill and returned home. Left to his own devices, Dimitri held down a job as a bartender and basically killed time, waiting.

After months with not even a single letter, though, he was starting to worry...
