personailty: Ellie is born for adventure, and she knows it, a high spirited bubbly child, and onwards to be a bubbly adult. She was born for freedom, to have the right do what she wanted, to have a a life of extraordinary events and meet extraordinary people. She seems to gush with it, unable to shut her up if your on a topic she know a lot about, and if your the right person, she might even confess her greatest worries to you. 

She loves people immediately, craves people to keep her world working. She likes to keep moving, and if she sits still it's mainly to read as she loves to read up on her favourite explorer Charles Muntz and her favourite place, Paradise Falls in South America. Though she finds it hard to sit still, her ambitious nature makes her work very hard on everything, hence why she puts 110% into getting into Avalon because of it's prestigious reputation. 

No matter what you think of Ellie, she's a hard person not to like in the end, and her spunky personality makes her ten times more likeable too; even if you don't really know much about Paradise Falls, or her ambitions, she'll happily listen to you about your own ideas and adventures and contribute to your ideas.

She's a very loyal person, and she keeps all her promises, especially considering her best friend Carl has promised to keep his. She's loyal without limit, she'd jump in front of a car for you, and she'd happily take the rap if she feels you deserve it. Overall, she's a great character, inside and out, and she loves her life to the fullest.

Ellie has a one track mind at best, though she can multi task, her ambitions are usually one at a time, so sometimes she puts aside something for the priority of her ambition to go to Paradise Falls and become an Explorer like Charles Muntz, though she has yet to realize of a dream that's just a little closer to home. 

The only 'true' weakness that Ellie has, but has yet to discover is that fact that she is infertile, which will mean that children will be a big issue for her when she finds out, because at present, though it's not the biggest deal to her, she will want children of her own and presently be unaware of the what is to come.

As well as that, her other weakness is unable to help helping. She would go out of her way to help someone, regardless of what it was and how much own personal issue it would get her into. Whether it be a small favour, or a large one, she would go out of her way to do it because she likes to be liked. She hates to think people think anything bad of her, so she always tries her best to keep everyone happy.
appearance: Ellie is a dinky bundle of joy with a heart shaped face and massive grin planted there. She's always grinning, smiling and if she's not happy, she proceeds to continue to smile despite herself. Her hair is most of the time tied back unless it's a special occasion. She has a small button nose and wide blues that absorb the world and everything in it and she has really dainty artistic fingers.
history: Ellie was born in a small town in the US in 1931. (Based on the release of Up being 2009 and that Carl is 78 – I imagine they're the same age, and they met when she was 8, so you get the picture....) Her parents had had another daughter before Ellie, but she was already pretty grown up by that time, and with a husband and out of the house, so Ellie had her parents all to herself. And as all parents are mostly, were loving, and at that time was a new age for women, though Up doesn't really go into detail about the depth of what was happening at that time, between her childhood and her adolescents in the 50's she was alive for WW2 and to see the rise of Charles Muntz, and exploring locations that previous wouldn't have been able to go to. 

So since she was about seven years old, Ellie wanted to be an explorer, she wanted it so bad she read book after book, as she was a very quick learner. She got a set of goggles and a helmet, and found a club house down the street from her home. From there she met Carl, a boy of the same age and they formed the closest friendship, promising each other that they would go to Paradise Falls together when they could.

Schooling took their toll on them, but after finishing traditional high school, college or University was appointed, and Ellie found out about Tinagel, another place that was rumoured to be lost in time. Both her and Carl signed up to go, and both got in, but his parents are hesitant to allow him to arrive. Though Ellie didn't want to leave without him, he insisted to go ahead and he wouldn't be too far behind. She misses her best friend already, but she has Avalon to keep her mind at ease until he makes his way on an adventure with her as soon as he can convince his strict parents that Ellie isn't trying to steal him away from them.

He did cross his heart after all. 

Though he has arrived at the school things have certainly happened to make this friendship bloom but with a recent resolution taking it's toll on Ellie's heart and her life there might be something there that wasn't there before...
