Hodr liked the feeling of sunshine on his face. It was warmer out than he was generally comfortable with, but that wasn't anything he could do anything about. When the god of brightness was your twin brother you were usually forced into the light. He could feel the shadows though, lurking in places people weren't supposed to go. Which was unfortunate because the shadows were the only place that Hodr could walk unassisted.
"Where are we going now?" Hodr asked, purposefully swinging his walking stick into a noisy group of people walking too close to him. There was a satisfying thud as wood connected with flesh and bone. "So sorry," he muttered to the group. He gestured helplessly to his walking stick. "Didn't see you there."
Hodr looked in his brother's direction. "Please tell me we're not going on the spinny ride again. Snow maiden, you can't let him. I've never been so seasick in my life." He nearly tripped as he stepped into a divot in the pavement. Whoever decided that the three of them should go to an amusement park simply wanted to torture Hodr. "A seasick Viking is a travesty. I've been to see numerous times and it's never been as bad as that spinny ride was." If he went on that ride he was sure that he'd throw up. "When can we get ice cream?"
