Hodr settled himself in a dark corner of some room he had happened to wander into. He knew that the corner was dark because he had feel the darkness. He was the god of darkness after all. And he settled himself down with a couple of tablets. He wasn't sure where the furniture in this particular room was, but that didn't bother him. He was tolerably happy sitting on the floor with his newest discovery: Braille.
Well, it wasn't a discovery so much as the librarian taking him aside to tell him about Braille since they didn't use that on Asgard. It was likely something that none of the other gods had come across and knew what it was and what it's purpose was. And now Hodr could join the ranks of people who could read. It was truly and utterly life changing. Thank Hel for sending him here!
He had one of the tablets out, his fingers searching through the letters, learning the alphabet and using that to help him navigate a book intended for children learning Braille for the first time. The story itself was fairly boring, but Hodr was so thrilled that he was learning to read that he didn't even care. He was so caught up in what he was doing that he didn't even hear anyone enter the room.
Snow had been wandering again. She wandered a lot, particularly now adays since she was starting to suspect she was party to some sort of illness of the mind. Small gaps in her memory kept appearing. She didn’t believe much in admiring ones looks in a mirror, but upon catching sight of her reflection in a well she’d stop to wish in, she found her skin was less like snow and more like ash. Snow had never been ill before. She didn’t know what to do and she didn’t particularly feel ill, she she just sort of hoped it would pass. Still found her mind lost in thought as she pondered what might be happening and this lead to wandering.
Fate was on her side, it seems, because her aimless and light steps lead her into a dark room with a figure that looked suspiciously like Hodr. The stag that had joined her along her walk protectively hugged nervously next to her. She dipped her head slightly and blinked and few times to try and adjust her vision to the light. Tomek twittered excitedly next to her and immediately swooped down near Hodr, looking for a place to land nearby.
“Hodr?” She chirped gently. She placed a hand in the stag, assuring him that all was likely to be alright.
