Things were starting to get a little better, or rather, she was starting to manage it better. The nightmares still haunted her and every now and then she still had to take a moment to calm down and find her way back to herself, but mostly…she was doing better. It was one of the reasons she decided to head out into the town to see about getting herself some new clothes. She had borrowed some from a few kind people at the school, but she needed a fresh start, and the best way to do that was some new clothes. The only problem was that she didn’t have any money, which had been quickly rectified by the Camelot crew, she had promised them profusely that she would pay them back but they would have none of it. Still, she didn’t like being in debt to people.
It was interesting how the town had started to become a little busier again, and she had heard that some of the shops had even started opening. Now that the place had been cleaned up people were coming back to the town, although unfortunately it would appear that the clothes shop was not one of the ones that had opened yet. She stood outside the window, looking at the empty interior wondering who might come along and reopen the place, and how long it would take for them to do so.
Her thoughts strayed to the boutiques she would pass in Paris on her way to one of her many jobs, the beautiful clothing stores that felt like they would have charged her a fortune just to stand outside and look at the designer dresses they had the window. She remembered seeing this one dress, a long figure hugging blue glittering dress fit for an Empress never mind a Queen. She had stood there for far too long staring at it to the point the proprietor of the store had come to the window and all but shooed her along so someone with money could take a look. Anya had promised herself that day that she would have enough money to go back there and buy that dress…unfortunately…her practical side and quickly jumped in and reminded her that even in the unlikely event she did get enough money, she didn’t have anywhere to wear it too unless she planned on serving tables in it.
With a sigh she turned to move on in search of somewhere else to buy clothes from, not realising she was about to walk into someone.
