Name: Altair ‘Al’ Olympus-Thatch (tends to go by ‘Mr Olympus’)
Age: 27
Parents: Apollo and Mila Thatch (This has been Tibby approved)
Personality: Not as stupid as he initially appears to be. Altair, when people first meet him, tend to think he is basically a carbon copy of his ‘god’ father; he is fun loving, flirtatious and somewhat over the top. However, anyone that speaks to him for more than a few minutes begins to see that his other father, the smart one, has had more of an impact on him. Behind that somewhat goofy looking smile is a brain, an avid history lover, just like his father, and a genuinely empathetic person. He loves to learn, and he loves people, and most of all he loves to help people have fun. He loves both his parents and regularly checks in with them, he doesn’t have a favourite but he definitely spends more time with Milo than Apollo. He also loves his little brother Ezio and whilst he worries about him hanging around with the ‘wrong sort’ he knows that a bright future lies ahead of him and only wants the best for him. He doesn’t seem to have an ‘angry’ side or even a frustrated side; he’s easy going and laid back with a sense of inner peace about him.
Appearance: As handsome as both his fathers, with his light brown hair, grey eyes and cheerful smile that never seems to leave his face. Standing at over 6ft tall he tends to favour his god father’s physique with all the muscles (although his smart father wasn’t lacking in that area either), which he likes to show off by wearing tight white t-shirts. His clothes are not all for style though, he would rather be comfortable than stylish, and prefers khaki trousers that are better for walking through rainforests and unexplored lands than tight jeans. When he is reading he wears glasses that are not too dissimilar to his smart dads, but when he’s out and about in the sunshine he is never without his aviators, he knows the danger of the sun better than anyone.
PB: Chris Pratt
History: Altair was the oldest (and he will always claim to be the oldest regardless of how many minutes and seconds there are between him and his brother) child born to Apollo and, at the time, Mila. He has never, in all this time, ever considered that his upbringing was a strange one and had a very happy child hood. Sometimes he visited his god family, and sometimes he hung out with mortals, it was all just ‘normal’ to him. He always tried to be the best he could be, to live up to the expectations of his parents. He excelled in athletics and the arts, but knuckled down and focused on his other studies as well. He loved history, and even more than that enjoyed the stories of explorers that his smart father would tell him and knew from a very young age he wanted to be just like them.
He also looked out for his wayward little brother, trying to keep him on the right path, to make sure he was ok, however he did keep insisting on spending time with all those people he really ought not too. Still, he loved him dearly and missed both him and his fathers when he went off on his adventures.
On finishing his studies he left for his ‘gap year’ which turned into ‘five years’ travelling around the world (s) exploring new places and learning new things. He always made sure to write home about his new discoveries, knowing his smart father would love it, and when he got the chance, brought him back new and interesting things that he thought he might like. However, now that he has been home for a bit he’s got itchy feet again and is looking for a new adventure in the place where his parents met. He heard that the school was severely lacking in teachers and applied for a position there as a history or language teacher. As it turned out, they offered him both positions…and the position of Guidance Counsellor.
So he hugged his smart father good bye and waved up at the sun to say bye to his god father and headed off to Tintagel, to teach, to learn and to help those poor, poor students…
