The bar was pretty dark apart from the glow of the occasional phone. Victoria Heart's was included, the light blue offsetting the indigo of her rather tight dress, and matching her eyes as they scanned the time. Just as she had suspected; it had been way too long to justify the wait she was dealing with. She had sent a couple of texts checking up on Aiden, making sure she wasn't in some sort of trouble (you never knew with Tintagel), but given she received nothing...despite the fact that this was an entirely new experience for her, she was going to have to accept the fact that she was probably not going to show up.
Some probably would be overthinking the entire previous interaction, wondering what they had done wrong to deserve something like this. She could easily see Nancy going down that train of thought (and if she ever did, whomever stood her up would probably be found trembling with a bunch of marks from all the thorns she had tied them up with). Hell, there were probably a few moments in that conversation where she could see Aiden making this decision.
The thing was, however? Tori knew there was no excuse for this, at least not in terms of anything Tori had said or done. If Aiden didn't want this, she should've just fucking said so, and if she wasn't going to, she was no great loss. She scoffed, muttering, "Well, crossing you off the list, then," and then putting her phone back in her clutch, to be left untouched until further notice.
Her typical charming smile returned as she leaned towards the bartender and asked, "Hey, two zombies, would you please? I'd especially love it if you had some cranberry juice in it, it's the closest to the berries in Wonderland we get here...oh, where's the girl I was waiting for?" She shrugged. "Nowhere, but I'm sure I'll find someone else to join me soon enough...thank you, miss." She was already thinking of how much she ought to tip her. She liked to be generous there, make someone's night even if she somehow struck out...double the order sounded like a good start.
She turned from the bar, crossing her legs as she scanned the crowd for someone to help save the night.
