"Not all of it, I hope." Genevieve responded with a smile and a slightly raised eyebrow as she sipped her tea. She almost rolled her eyes again as Cal jumped up onto a counter, but stopped herself, allowing herself a small smile instead as she watched her.
The smile faded ever so slightly at Cal's next words, although she tried not to show it, trying to at least give the impression that she was feeling relaxed and casual. Not great girlfriend material... Genevieve wasn't even entirely sure what that meant, but she wasn't going to ask. Not yet, anyway. After all, was one date too soon to be having the girlfriend conversation? She'd never had it before, but she was sure most of her reading had shown her that there had to be a few dates before the exclusive conversation happened, so she figured she could wait. Instead, Genevieve just shrugged a little, sipping her tea again.
"I don't know what I'm looking for." She said, semi-honestly. "This is all pretty new to me." She gave Cal a small smile as the other girl leaned over and tapped her nose. "So that was the perfect first date, huh?" She asked with a teasing note in her voice. "I guess it's all downhill from here then?"

"Technically you cause some of it," replied Cal, adding another quick wink as she started digging into her breakfast. She ate almost haphazardly, taking bites here and there as if she were sculpting something out of the pancakes. There were breaks for conversation and tea, but they were fairly sporadic in the larger picture of pancake eating.
She did end with a grin and that nose tap. "Well, there are pancakes first," she said, holding up her partially eaten plate, "and if you really wanted to, we could tuck back in there," she tilted her head back toward Genevieve's bedroom, adding a quick wink. "But don't worry: I'm pretty fun to be around, and you've already proven that you've got more than enough fire to start a blaze."
Cal punctuated her remark by picking up the tea, sticking out a pinkie, and taking an oh-so-delicate sip of the stuff.
She couldn't help but laugh at Cal's suggestion, and she was incredibly tempted to just head back into the bedroom, close the door, and forget the rest of the world existed for a few more hours. "Well I won't lie, that does sound like the best way to spend a Saturday." She said with a smile, finishing her tea and turning her attention to the food Cal has so expertly provided.
She laughed again at Cal's delicate display, shaking her head slightly. "I don't know about that, but I can definitely agree that you're fun to be around." She said with a smile, moving over to where Cal was perching and standing in front of her, resting her hands lightly on Cal's thighs as she reached up to kiss her softly.
She suddenly pulled away, turning to look at the clock on the wall. "Oh damn." She muttered, remembering. "I'm supposed to be meeting my brother for tea this morning. I completely forgot." She looked back at Cal with a disappointed look. "I guess all good things really do have to come an end."
