Go out, socialize more, get to know people. Elsa had all but told Anna that, and she'd mentioned offhand to people how freeing this place was supposed to be. Oh, and let's not forget guiding little Olaf through the adventures of being a real boy and telling him to get out there and embrace the bold new world. Yes, Elsa was well aware that she had to go out and do that herself, or risk being quite hypocritical.
Coffee seemed like a reasonable idea. Go. Get a cup. Drink it in public. Be seen by people. But she already felt out of place, since she was still wearing a dress (Anna had mentioned getting the correct clothes, but Elsa had been putting that off). On top of that, she hadn't quite expected... this.
"That has to be Latin," she mumbled, studying the menu. "Or possibly Italian. It's certainly not English," which for some reason everyone here seemed to be fluent in, despite coming from nearly everywhere. Elsa scanned the list again, frowning, realizing that she was still standing where there would more or less be a line, were there more people. Thankfully the school hadn't quite started up just yet, so it wasn't like there were people screaming for coffee in between putting the finishing touches on the school.

As Wendy had started to settle in to the school and it's understanding. She had the opportunity of doing something here that her world of London would not allow. That, and due to it being a like the 21st Century, something she never thought she'd dream to see everything was new and a wonder to her.
Much like her Never Land. Despite wanting to see if there was a portal here to Never land, to her Peter, she decided that she would try to fit in here first.
And then she found herself in a shop, watching a woman looking rather frazzled at the list of drinks. The young woman steps to join her in the queue and takes out a notepad and pen making notes whilst talking outloud.
"So....Grande is Italian for “large, so, by logic, the first one on that list, must be the smallest drink..." Then Wendy squints. "And I believe....the latte is a milky coffee...judging by what I remember being served in London to my governess one afternoon last month. I don't think she liked it..."
She was speaking to herself, but really, she was giving Elsa the tools to make her choice, if she so required the help as a staff member seemed to wait impatiently for her.

The girl spoke, and Elsa looked over to her. She didn't quite recognize the girl, but she could at least catch on to what was being said. Italian: that was actually enough for Elsa to take another look. Easy to figure that espresso probably meant something with extra punch, latte had some milk in it... cappuccino sounded somewhere in between?
"I'll have a cappuccino," ordered Elsa, mostly taking a guess. She pointed at the right spot on the menu, before looking sideways at the girl who'd helped her. "And whatever she's having," she said, before reaching into her pocket, trying to find the card they'd provided. Now that things were in operation, they'd gotten in touch with the various homelands and helped set up appropriate funding. Elsa had been making regular arrangements, which required letters and so forth. Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Elsa all had cards that would match with scholarships provided and the kingdom's own funds. Fortunately Arendelle was prosperous.
So prosperous that Elsa could certainly purchase a coffee for her quasi-rescuer, who did remind her some of her sister in all the best ways.

Presto! Her plan had succeeded.
She can't help the smile on her face as she's offered her coffee to be brought for. Wendy smirks, putting away her notebook.
"Why thank you, Miss---err....Miss?" Wendy finishes awkwardly. "I'll have the tall....latte please."
The coffee barista starts on the drinks, and Wendy steps towards Elsa and holds out a hand. There were probably things that her governess had taught her to do when she met others, but she was going to ignore them.
Peter had always advised her to not grow up, and so she would do what she felt was the right thing to do before the proper thing.
"I'm Wendy, that's very kind of you to buy my drink!"

"Elsa," finished Elsa as the girl tried to awkwardly introduce herself. Might as well make that easier, since the girl had made things easier herself. Elsa stood slightly to the side while Wendy finished her order, then slid across the card that allowed payment, waiting patiently while the worker processed payment and got everything more in order. Elsa watched the process with some curiosity: it wasn't as if she had a lot of experience seeing the wonders of this world.
Which did mean she wasn't quite looking to Wendy when the girl introduced herself properly. Elsa tried to coolly play this off, turning slowly to smile. "I'm simply returning a kindness in kind," she replied. "You helped me not look like quite the complete idiot: a coffee is a small price," she looked back, frowning as she saw the workers get to their task.
"Though it does seem like they're doing a bit more than just making coffee back there. This world continues to surprise me at every turn," they were apparently making shapes in the coffee now? Was there some sort of art involved here? Elsa was almost tempted to start leaning over, get a better look at the process.
