Clarence is a kind and quite person. He is not so skittish as his father or, perhaps, even is sister, but he is not without fear entirely. At a very young age Clarence developed a speech impediment and made it very difficult for him to communicate with others. This caused a lot of anxiety to bubble up about trying to talk with people. by the time he was five years old Clarence was classified as a selective mute. This is not to say he simply chooses when he wants to speak and when he doesn't, rather he physically cannot speak to most people most often outside of his family. Even with them he often struggles and prefers other ways to communicate. Namely Clarence learned sign language. However, he does not expect everyone he meets to know the language so he is never without pen and paper.

Clarence also always has pen and paper because he likes to write anything and everything. He likes to draw too. He will draw or write anything from stories to observational notes on people. These he usually keeps private. He is very smart and adores learning about the world and the people in it. He can get all wrapped up inside himself sometimes, so he enjoys listening and spending time with others, even if that just means sitting next to them in mutual, comfortable silence.

Now that he had ways he knows how to make people understand him, he mostly just goes with the flow. He will always want to do what is right and help others, but he isn't going to put up a fight is someone wants to take him out. He may not participate in heavy drinking or the like, but he'll hang around if you want to do it. He'll hold your hair when you vomit.

Appearance:


Handsome and quite tall like his father. His hair, of course, comes from his lovely mother. He is not terribly put together, perhaps a little lanky and clumsy, but all around nice looking. He doesn't dress in anything fancy, but prefers comfy sweaters and jeans over anything else. He brushes his hair, but its usually a little wild if he lets it grow out too long.

Like his sister and his father, Clarence is also a shape sifter. He was never as into it as they were growing up. In fact, the only time you could really find him curled up as a cat or the like was when he was wither very upset about something or couldn't figure out a problem he'd been trying to solve. Sometimes he would shift to mimic his sister simply to playfully confuse his parents.

History:

Clarence is the youngest of the two Panic children, but only by a year. He loves his father, but he spent a lot of time with his mother growing up. He loves her sense of justice and the intrigue of solving crimes. Clarence loves finding clues and solving puzzles. Sometimes he tried to solve people like puzzles and it gets him into trouble. Anyway he was raised in a good home and, other than many issues with his speech, had a good childhood.

Panic and Della were understandably unsure about sending Clarence away to school. He had always been a little odd growing up with an interesting sort of world view and way of interpreting things. They knew what Tintagel could do to people and it was hard to send their baby away to a place that might chew him up and spit him out. Yet, after seeing Nancy do just fine for a while and with the comfort of knowing she will be there to take care of him (Cousin Tori too), they decided to let him go. Clarence is excited and ready to try new things! Try not to tear him apart TOOOO fast, Tintagel.
