Will had never seen the ocean before. As the school was still inaccessible, the time between cleaning included checking and cleaning up the town, but here. Here in the quiet beach, Will had found himself transfixed. He loved the way the moon's reflection rippled in the quiet water. It was the only place in the whole town that felt peaceful. It was here he felt sand beneath his feet.
He had heard of sand, he had never actually seen sand. Soon, most days after cleaning, he would come back to the shore, and spend it's sunsets just sitting out here.
It was the least wolfish thing he could think to do, the field reminded him to much of his nights hunting, and that was the same being around people too much. Here, where it all appeared so calm and safe, he found a sanctuary, even on these cold winter nights.
Tonight wasn't so cold, trousers and jumper sleeves rolled up so his skin touched the wet sand, hair blowing in the wind, just enjoying the sounds of the world around him.
No one to tell him he was wrong to be here, no one to care that he wasn't being wolfish enough. Just him and his thoughts.
Oh so he thought.
