Name:
Mordred Le Fey
Age:
20
Parents:
Morgana Le Fey and Lupe Dy Cazaril
Personality:
Mordred is charming, suave and intelligent, able to talk his way in or out of almost any situation and he could talk the sky into turning violet if he chose. He is completely at home at the centre of the royal court, mixing with nobility, royalty and people of the highest stations. Of course, being so well suited to this environment has caused his head to inflate more than a little - his mother is often exasperatedly comparing him to the younger version of his uncle Arthur. Mordred can be very self-centred and egotistical, and has been known to be more than a little sleazy towards visiting princesses and ladies of the court. He has a tendency towards extravagance, having been rather spoiled by his mother growing up, and growing up in a royal court; he embraced the life early and loves nothing more than an extravagant party in his chambers with a his cousins and a few friendly young ladies. Mordred has a reputation as a wind-up merchant, and thoroughly enjoys teasing his cousin Tristan, but he is fiercely loyal and will do whatever is needed to protect and defend his family. He is highly skilled with a sword, bow and arrow and on horseback, and he has inherited his mother's natural ability with magic, able to use the Sight, move things with his mind and speak directly into others' minds. He tends not to use his gifts as freely as Morgana, however, saving them for when they are really needed.
Appearance:
Mordred is classically handsome and takes after his mother in looks; dark hair meticulously styled to look effortlessly messy, and deep, intense blue eyes - he's been told by more than one girl that they could get lost in his eyes. He is tall and fit, and takes time and effort to keep himself in shape. He enjoys dressing smartly, wearing the high quality tunics and fabrics of the royal family and taking care and effort to show his status through his dress. Once at school, he will smoothly transition to fitted and expensive jeans, slimline shirts and smart, perfectly shined shoes. He'll wear expensive suits whenever the occasion calls for it, and often when it doesn't.
History:
Born while his mother was attending Tintagel school, Mordred returned to Camelot with his mother as a baby, and grew up in the court, initially the only child in the court, which had something to do with his privileged and entitled attitude. Once his aunts (and uncles) started having babies, Mordred was initially unhappy sharing his time and attention with small, squealing, stinky babies, but as they grew he started to realise that having cousins wasn't so bad after all.
And so, they all grew up together happily, Mordred leading the others in pulling pranks on the adults of the castle and causing general havoc. Mordred thoroughly enjoyed being party to the many secrets their somewhat dysfunctional family had. Mordred has always been particularly close with his cousin Tristan, the two of them having great fun winding Meredith up at every opportunity.
Mordred's magical abilities were nurtured and encouraged by his mother, who has always instilled in him a sense of being deserving of more than his current position allowed. When the opportunity came to go to Tintagel, his mother's Alma Mater and his birthplace, he jumped at the chance, especially on hearing that his cousins would be going to. What better place to escape the watchful and slightly suspicious eyes of certain members of his family, enhance his abilities - and who knew what opportunities might present themselves?
