Personality: Arthur is a Prat, but he's a good guy underneath it all. He's arrogant and cocky, but he'll help everyone and anyone. He's stubborn and hot tempered and whilst he'll face down any danger he would rather run away than talk about anything to do with 'feelings'. He loves fiercely and becomes terribly distraught and hurt when he is betrayed. Doesn't like injustice despite the way he treats his manservant.
Since returning to Camelot and Albion he has mellowed out…a little bit…the same old Arthur is still there it’s just he’s a bit more laid back whilst at the same time a bit more serious, especially where is kingdom is concerned.
Appearance: Tall, broad, blonde, blue eyes and muscular. Pale skin due to the lack of sunshine and slightly scarred due to the many fights/battles he has already taken part in. Everything about him is built to be an imposing warrior, which is, when he’s not being a complete prat about it.
In Camelot he wears very well kempt and expensive clothes made of the finest cloths and dyes. He especially favours dark brown leggings, his red shirt and his red coat, that is when he isn’t wearing the traditional Armour of the Knights of Camelot, which he accessorizes with a lovely flowing red cape.
In Tintagel / Avalon the returning Arthur favours suits more than the casual jeans and t-shirts he used to wear. After all, he’s a king now, he has to look respectable. He mostly favours greys and navy blues with white shirts with rolled up sleeves, grey waistcoats and nice shiny shoes.
History: Arthur grew up in Camelot destined to become King and told so every day of his life. He lost his mother at a young age and since his father was busy being King he didn’t get to spend a lot of time with him. Luckily enough he had a sibling like friends in Morgana and Kay whom he grew up with, not to mention the girl who lived next door with whom he climbed trees with. However as he grew older he was dragged back to his princely duties by his father and grew to become not only a great fighter, but a sort of good Prince as well.
He spent a good few years having his ego boosted and his arrogance not only fanned but encouraged until one day this idiot came up to him. This idiot then proceeded to continue being idiotic and somehow ended up becoming his manservant. As the weeks passed however, whilst he continued to be an idiot, he proved to not only be a competent manservant, but a good friend as well, although it took him a long time to come to terms with that.
When he went to Avalon it had a rather profound effect and made him begin to question the things his father had taught him. For one thing he didn’t think Magic was so bad, and he had further opportunities to meet people, befriend people and love people that he wouldn’t be able to have such relationships with back in Camelot. One said person was Megara with whom he had an on and off relationship. It was interrupted by the appearance of Meredith, a girl that he became rather infatuated with until he found out it was Meredith.
During this time he also made frienimies with Gaston who really annoyed him and always had his back, sometimes at the same time. He also shared a couple of cheeseburgers with Dimitri and a hot tub with Robin Hood.
But really, through it all there has been Merlin, his closest friend, some would say his best friend, who just so happens to be in love with him and whom he also loves. When the portal pulled him back to Camelot it was just in time, he had crown to take up and not only save his own kingdom but the kingdom of his new wife as well, Guinevere. Between the three of them (Arthur, Guinevere and Merlin) they are keeping both kingdom and queendom together, and really, things have never been better. It was hard at first, losing his father and taking on his new position, but overtime he started to get the hang of it, and after even more time he realised he was actually quite good at this whole ‘king’ business…which of course is when the portals decided to reopen and suck him back to Tintagel…

TELLtheTALE
Sample Post: And Gawain was off on one of his stories again. Arthur smiled as the excitable Scot continued his heavily embellished tale of his daring fighting against the Green Knight. He sat back in his throne and tuned out a little. This was not what these meetings of his knights were for and yet somehow it always descended into a bragging contest. He would let them continue with it for a little while longer, he was quite interested to hear how Lancelot was getting on with his witch of a wife. Poor man.
As he looks around the room he realised just how pleased he was with his life. Sure, things were not exactly conventional but when had anything in his life ever been conventional. He looked at the empty seat beside him and wondered what was keeping Gwen and then as another thought crossed his mind he realised what might be doing just that.
Tristan. His pride and joy, his heir, his son. Gwen could claim all she wants that Tristan was her darling precious boy who was going to grow up just like mummy, but when Arthur looked into that tiny little face, he knew whose son Tristan was going to be. He couldn’t help but wonder why he had been so scared initially, why the thought of having a child had terrified him so much. The fear had not gone away, but now it was ‘what if someone tries to hurt my son? What if someone tries to take him away from me?’ rather than ‘oh gods no please no I am not ready to have son’. Now he could not help but think he wanted more.
Well Merlin was magical.
The smile got wider. Merlin. Never in a million years did he think it was going to work. If they did not have Gwen, if she had not be so…Gwenish, they never would have got away with it…but…they could. They could be together…and it was wonderful. He was wonderful…although he would never actually tell him that, would not want to go inflating his ego too much, he was only an advisor after all.
He would go find him after this, maybe subtly bring up the subject of more children again and see if he got freaked out by it again.
Arthur was just thinking of calling an end to Gawain’s tail when POP! He was sucked into the Portal.
