Character's History

Hello there. I was browsing the site and was thinking about joining. But I had a question before I decided who I want to be!

How faithful do we have to be on a canon's history? Like, can we add a little spice to the story and make Little Red Riding Hood a werewolf?
Or have The Swan Princess be able to change into a swan at will, even though her spell has been broken?

Just little things like that to make it more interesting!

I'll wait for another staffer to back me up on this before I say that I'm 100% sure, but I believe we've been really open to creative histories in the past. I play Mumble the penguin from Happy Feet - I completely changed the end of his story and have ignored the sequel completely (since it came out AFTER I had already been playing the character for a year at least).

I think the one thing we'd want you to be careful about is what history has already been established by anybody who might already be playing a character from your selected canon (if anybody is), and work with them on that so that the two histories don't conflict.

Like I said, if other staffers have anything to add to this or any objections to make, I will gladly defer to that.
