Post a little bit about your second gen character here. Remember to include who their parents are, and make sure you have permission from the other parent.

This is me being lazy and totally pirating my app from before:
Costin is the adoptive son of Dracula and Tulio (from the AiS universe). He tends to have a rather unremarkable expression on his face. When he's angry, it's obvious, and when he's excited about something, it's equally obvious, but he has tried very hard to train himself to have a rather neutral expression the rest of the time. He hasn't perfected the vampiric gift for deception through facial expressions, but he certainly seems to think he has, because most of the time, he looks at everyone with the same blank, emotionless glare.
He stands at about six feet and holds himself like the nobility he's been adopted into. He walks like...well, like a snob. He has dark hair and brown eyes that aren't nearly as unreadable as he wants them to be.
He doesn't know how to dress like a modern youth at all, and usually wears things vastly out of date. Anything semi-casual and up usually results in Costin being incredibly overdressed. Apparently, being raised by ages old vampires doesn't do much for a young man's sense of fashion.
Costin seems to have picked up some of the worst traits from both of the men who raised him. He has Dracula's self-assured smugness, as well as his cruelty and disregard for the feelings of essentially every other individual he interacts with. The circumstances of his life have left him used to getting what he wants when he wants it, and when that doesn't happen, he can get quite nasty.
Perhaps the most defining characteristic Costin has taken away from his raising is his resentment for the men who brought him up. They're immortal, and he has known that virtually all his life. He always assumed that he'd be changed as well once he got to an acceptable age, but now here he is, getting older by the day, and thoroughly impatient for that transformation to occur. And yet, for some reason, he's been sent to this school, very much to his dismay.
Costin was four when his family was murdered by a pair of vampires. Fortunately for him, he doesn't remember that. He was always told that he was found as an orphan (which Dracula insists is true to this day) and taken in (primarily due to Tulio's urging and Dracula's fear of losing Tulio once more). The earliest thing he does remember is flying - there was plenty of that while he was growing up, and perhaps one of the strangest things to him is that he can't do it on his own. It feels almost as much a part of him as breathing or sleeping - both of which are things he resents greatly as they set him apart from the perfection he sees in his fathers.
He grew up knowing that Dracula and Tulio were vampires; Tulio tried to shelter him from the nastier side of their nature, but Dracula's no-nonsense approach to the dark facets of vampiric existence left him with a diminished sense of value for human life. In spite of the fact that he is still human, he considers himself superior to others, and has offended a lot of people on the assumption that he'll be a vampire someday and it won't matter what anyone else thinks of him.
The most awful thing that has ever happened to him, Costin thinks, is being sent to this school. He doesn't want to be here, doesn't think he needs to learn any of the things that are being taught, and most definitely doesn't want to be socializing with the silly human adolescents.
Dusty is the only child of Anika Fae (Los Avalos). Anika Fae was a saloon girl and that explains how she got pregnant and why neither of them know who Dusty’s father is. Not that anyone was surprised that a Saloon girl was having a baby, but it changed both of their lives forever.
Dusty was born into a very unstable environment which is pretty typical of the Wild West. As a child she was passed off on friends of her mother very often so Anika could work and make money. She also grew up spending a lot of time in and around the Saloon, making friends with the other Saloon girls while her mother was working.
She’s always been known around town as the daughter of a whore and really looked down upon because of that. The other kids always teased her and picked on her. So when Dusty heard about Avalon she begged and begged to go until her mother finally agreed.
Dusty is a really sweet girl. She loves to smile and loves to talk, though she’s not very outgoing. She’s much more likely to sit quietly off to the side reading, writing or playing the harmonica.
Dusty is shy. Being raised by a mother who was a saloon girl can do that to a person. To Dusty, the opinions of others matter a whole lot more than they should and she really tries hard to fit in. She really wants to be accepted since most of her life she’s been sort of an outcast.
Because Dusty and her mom aren’t very well looked on, she will defend herself and anyone she cares about to the ends of the earth if that’s what it takes. She also gets really defensive about not having a father. Dusty is also determined to prove everyone wrong who ever said that she was going to end up just like her mother.
Dusty looks just like her mother. She got her mother’s face shape and black hair and brown eyes. She even has the same cheery smile. She is also very expressive. Whatever she’s feeling is shown on her face.
Dusty is a very modest dresser and is often found wearing dresses. She does wear pants on occasion. She likes to dress comfortably and no matter what she always looks neat and put together. And she pretty much always wears her cowboy boots.

Aiden was born on a warm June day into the arms of two, very loving, and exited parents: Andrina Trion and Andrew Mumble. Every night from then on, her mother sang her to sleep and melodies constantly bounced through her head. She was not aloud baby, but she was a happy one. By the time she was seven it was apparent that she was skilled in ballet and other forms of dance as she took classes, but she would cry until she was allowed to sit out the performances. Though her mom often caught her singing along to her nighttime lullabies, she would never sing when asked. Neither parent could understand this, but they loved her and taught her all they knew, figuring she'd grow out of it at some point. They wouldn't even know what to call it, but she kept them proud nonetheless. She was, and still is, a very smart child. Always near the top of her class.
At the age of twelve she was basically head of the house hold. She woke up early to make sure her parents were ready for the day. She always knew where everything was since things were often lost or forgotten by her dear mother and father. At this point in time she was already reading a few books a week and, despite urging, she generally spent her evenings in. She didn't mind any of thing, however, she loved her life. She loves her confused parents and their constant optimistic attitudes. And though, she's afraid she'll never perform like they so want her too, she know they love her too. That why, after a little deliberation it was decided that she would be attending Avalon Academy just like Andrina and Mumble had. They, however, plan to keep an eye on whoever's in charge. Then, of course, huge magically incident and WHAMO. She ended up here at Tintagel.
Aiden has a pretty face with bright blue eyes just like her mother an father. Her hairs is a dark brown and naturally lays with a slight wave to it. Her dark locks reach a good foot past her shoulders and she generally leaves it long that way. She doesn't like to do much with her hair and she normal wears rather natural make up. She's rather good looking with her slender body, but she doesn't care to flaunt it.
On her being Aiden wears modest, but flattering clothing, nothing too fancy. Normally jeans and a nice blouse. She rather fond of sweat shirts and pajama pants and wears them as often as she can in private, but she does try to at least appear decent in public. She never wears anything she would be afraid to get dirty. She's comfort over beauty all the way.
Personality: Aiden is very smart and very mature. Growing up with parents so flighty and crazy as hers, she grew up rather fast. It would seem Andy's and Mumbles spaztic tendencies canceled out in their child. More often than not, Aiden would have to parent them rather than vice versa. She always thinks things through, she could never just jump up and do things like her parents do, she needs to weigh things for a time. She's generally the brains behind the Mumble family. She's ever so often getting her mother or father out of some mess. She's very used to dealing with things, and very little takes her by surprise. Secretly, however, she is a very very talented girl. Having bother her mothers voice and her fathers dancing skills. They would never know, however, because she suffers from extreme stage fright. Something neither of her parents could understand.
Aiden as a intense passion for reading. She loves any sort of story, they fascinate her, she's almost always found with a book in hand. Her mother especially could never understand this. She would much rather go out and live the tales on the pages than read about them, but Addy, though she is a fan of adventure, believes some things can only be experienced in a wonderful book. With her nose stuck in stories all the time, she's often mistaken to be a quiet child, but she is truly opinionated. She doesn't often bother taking peoples crap, if you say something stupid she's going to call you on it. If your generally mean to people, she'll get you for it. One thing Inherited from mom was a cunning set of prank skills. although she's not normally a hot head, don't get on her list.

Azkadellia Upland is actually the daughter of Glinda's sister - who died when Azkadellia was very young. Glinda and her husband Dracula took the girl in, so she doesn't know she's adopted, and have raised her since Azkadellia was only a few months old. She's grown up knowing her father is a vampire, and it hardly bothers her, although she's often curious why she doesn't hold vampire tendencies if he is her 'father'.
She's tall, pretty, blonde, and blue eyed, just like Glinda - only smarter. She's more like Glinda than her actual mother. She enjoys magic, which she inherited, and politics, as she intends to take her mother's place as Headmistress and Empress of Oz someday. She's got a hell of a temper on her though, and she doesn't take anyone's crap. She's polite and proper about things most of the time until you piss her off - then that's all thrown out the window and she'll rip you a new one.
She doesn't have many friends, mostly because she hasn't been at the school long enough to really make them. She's an only child - as far as she knows - and enjoys it for the time being, as she adores the attention her parents give her. She's popular and attention needing as well, just like her 'mother'. Her observation and listening skills come from her 'father', and she has come to the point where she can be just as attentive as he can at times.
Arkady was the first child born to Dimitri and Anya. He grew up in a small flat in Paris, and his family had little money to spare for anything that wasn’t a necessity, but they were happy enough. He always dreamed of something bigger, though, and always felt like he was meant for a different life.
When he eventually found out about his mother’s familial roots, and the fact that she had actually given up her crown and chose a life of poverty, he withdrew a bit into himself. He started acting out against his parents, and was very cruel to his younger sister. He developed a strong resentment towards all royalty, not because they get everything handed to him while he has to work for everything (the reason his father used to always resent them), but because he feels cheated. They are living the life that should be his as well.
Eventually he became too much of a handful, almost getting taken away and imprisoned for his actions, so his parents sent him to Avalon, hoping it would help him as it had them. Hoping he would learn that money and status really meant very little in the big scheme of things if you could find true love and happiness.
Post by Gwyn Locksley on Mar 7, 2011 20:32:43 GMT -5
Gwyn was born the second child to Robin and Marian of Locksley, and while all their hopes were pinned upon their only son, not much was expected of her being a female in their time. She proved them all wrong. Taking after her father in almost every way, she was naturally gifted with a bow, a sword, a horse, hand-to-hand combat... you name it, she excelled in it. Basically wherever her brother failed, she succeeded which, let’s face it, was everywhere.
Although she enjoyed her trips to Camelot, she didn’t make friends as easy as her brother and usually just ended up tagging along with him and his friends, though if she realised this she never let it show. The best parts of those trips, though, were the tournaments. She loved to watch the Knights jousting and fighting and aspired to enter one day. Then there was Mordred, who could fight with the best of them. She just knew he would make a great knight one day.
From a young age, while her father nurtured her natural talents, her mother made sure she learned all the necessary etiquette for a young woman of her time. Now, as she gets older, she fears that one day soon she will be expected to take a husband and uses the leverage of Marian’s late marriage whenever the topic is broached. Avalon offers hope, though, because surely she could not be expected to marry while attending school, right?
(my Shinikins says yes. ;D )
Icon by Shini and sigs by Tibby. Thank you you beautiful people you!
Luc was the second child of Lancelot Du Lac and Elaine of Carbonec - only by a minute or so, but he seems to take the middle child syndrome to heart. He had a lot of pressure being the first born male, and considering how different his parents ideas were, it was no wonder he turned out a bit strange.
He grew to resent both his parents, his mother for her strict attitudes and ridiculous ideas, and his father for constantly disappearing off to Camelot and courtly life, finding it far more interesting than his children, or at least that was how Luc saw it.
His twin sister Annabelle was a quiet, intellectual girl who was often happiest alone with her books, and his younger brother Galahad was more than a little strange, so there wasn't really anybody to keep Luc company and reign him in as his teenage tearaway years set in, it became almost instinctual to disobey anyone in authority and he broke rules left, right and centre.
It wasn't that he had any particular hatred for the world, he just chafed against restrictions and rules, and still does, but for those his own age the picture is a litle different. He's kind and sweet and incredibly loyal to his friends, though he can be quick-witted and sarcastic, it's only ever meant in jest. He has the 'bad boy' thing down, and it often makes girls follow him around, gaining him quite the reputation - a reputation he never bothers to deny, or confirm, when asked about it.
When the chance to go to Avalon came along, he was out of there, even though his siblings didn't want to come with him, he was just glad to be away from home and free from under his mother's tyrannical reign.
Bio: Crown Prince of Camelot, first and only son of King Arthur Pendragon and Guinevere Summer, Tristian lives life to the full. He knows he is handsome, he knows he is powerful and he uses it all to his advantage. If there is something going on in the school or the surrounding area, the chances are he knows about it. He makes it his business to know everything about anyone that even slightly interests him. He seeks to surround himself with people he can mould into shape, into perfection so long as he was the Queen bee in the middle. Under the steely cold exterior however, deep under layers of sarcasm, wit and scathing comments, there is a genuinely nice guy who just wants to be loved…really deep down. He loves fighting, hunting and shopping. He loves looking great and HATES those who just don’t try hard enough. Has a terrible grudge against his sister, and his father, but gets on very well with his mother, sister and Merlin.
Meredith Emrys-Pendragon is not officially the child of either of her parents, but when your parents are the King of Camelot and his (very male) court wizard, that's sort of to be expected. Officially, she's the King's ward, much like her aunt Morgana was before her, only less evil. She grew up quite happily, content with the many secrets their family had between them, feeling a sort of special camerarderie because of them. She got on particularly well with Gaston Jr because of their shared love of all things nerdy - encouraged and cultivated, of course, by Arthur. She is most definitely not a little princess, however, while she can be regal and polite when she puts her mind to it, and while she is generally gracious and pleasant to everybody she meets, she was always more of a tomboy, running around and getting her dresses ripped in the mud. She doesn't enjoy all the 'girly' aspects of being a princess - pretty dresses and etiquette and all that nonsense, though she very much enjoys the politics.
As a person she's generally lovely, but she can also be stubborn and quick-tempered, and quick to defend her friends and family, taking after both of her fathers about equally.
Edward Locksley was supposed to be just like his father, dashing, charming, skilled at archery and fencing and most other forms of combat, at home on horse or on foot, and generally the most wonderful hero of legend there ever was. He certainly can try and look the part, he knows all the right dashing poses and phrases - unfortunately that's about all he's mastered. Eddie is generally useless at everything, he can't run fast or ride a horse or shoot an arrow, not even passably well. He inexplicably fails at almost everything he sets his hand to, and he's not the brightest penny in the tin to boot. He can't even be the class clown, that job going to his much wittier best friend, though he does at least get a few laughs with his clumsiness.
He's a generally good natured boy, a little bitter about his father's expectations and his sister's excellence wherever he fails, but he hides it easily under a smile and does his best to try and turn things around, hoping that somewhere, someday, he'll find something he's actually good at.
Olivia Jane Heart is the one and only child of Rose Heart. Officially, she holds the title of Princess of Wonderland because of her family, but she's like sixth in line for the throne. She was born in Wonderland and was rather well liked since her mother had gone off the deep end - most felt sorry for her, really. She was born and raised within the palace for a year before her mother returned to Tintagel with her, where she spent the rest of her childhood growing up around magic.
It became clear she had some magical abilities at the age of five, when her mother found her floating near the ceiling while she was sleeping, because Olivia had been dreaming about flying. With a few tests, it became clear she had the power of White Imagination like her cousin Alyss, much to Redd's dismay since Redd's own powers had disappeared. She didn't resent Olivia though, and instead did her best to help her gain control of it.
Naturally, she attended Tintagel Academy once she was old enough and continued her progress through school. She has many friends, but her best friend is Aiden Mumble - even if Redd forbids it.
Olivia isn't as rebellious as she should be, considering her mother, but she will stand against Redd in certain situations. She'd never threaten to use her magic against her though. Olivia dreams of being a scientist and a doctor, using her magic for both of those. She's intillegent and very bright for her age, which is why she excels in her chosen field. She's clever, but she's got a huge temper to contend with should you tick her off.
