Erik (The Phantom)
Teacher. Forty five. The Phantom of the Opera. Profile
Erik had only just recently stumbled accidently from his world into this one, and is dealing with having to readjust to this new life. The events of his story had only just recently ended, leaving him both deeply damaged by the events that unfolded and letting Christine go. On that note though, he is now a clean slate, and once he learns to manage his grief, he will need to find direction in his life.
As for friends, Erik has none. Because of his traumatic past, he is distrustful and skeptical of everyone. He'll often react to people with disdain, and is often manipulates with complete disregard for anyone else. Between this and his violent tendancies, it is extremely difficult for anyone to get close enough to the Phantom to call him a friend. However, if you do somehow manage to get close enough, you'll be given a glimpse at the pitiful, lonesome creature that lurks underneath the mysterious exterior.
Love is a dangerous thing for Erik. He had fallen madly in love with the Swedish Soprano Christine Daae, leading to the unfortunate chain of events at the Paris Opera House. Although he had let her go to marry the man she chose in the end, Erik's love for her has not waned. In fact, he still fixates on her and grieves her loss, even if he does know that he did what he had to redeem himself. His obsession with Christine has not ended, and therefore any new lovers are completely out of the question.
Enemies are much more easy for Erik to make. He has little regard for the rest of human society after his treatment, and is deeply manipulative. He is cunning and a master of illusion, and he has no shame in using these skills to control other people. Also, Erik is not above violence, and this includes murder. If he truly feels threatened or if he is genuinely pushed over the edge, this darkest side of his nature will come out. A word of advice to those who might become his enemy: Keep your hand at the level of your eyes.
