Personality:Belle has always loved books, so she nearly always has her head buried in one. You name it, she's read it. Living in a small village in France, reading was her escape from her mediocre and provincial life. It has since become part of her everyday life to an extreme, almost like a security blanket. Whens she's stressed, or lonely, or upset...She reads tirelessly.
Belle is above all, kind and understanding. She has a very non judgmental way about her, believing that everyone deserves a chance, and she is willing to give them just that.
She's easy enough to get along with and is generally cheerful in demeanor as well as optimistic.
Appearance:
Belle has that girl next door kind of look about her. Simple dresses, and occasionally tying her hair with a ribbon. At the Academy shes taken a shine to jeans and tee shirts, and hoodies quite especially, but still maintains a dress often. She has natural beauty that doesn't need much to pop out at you.
She has long brown hair, that is usually down and flowing freely. Eyes of a deep brown, shadowed by long dark lashes, and a killer smile. She's slenderly built, but with all the right curves in all the right places. When the time calls for dressing up, she can be rather breathtaking.
History:Belle grew up in a small village in rural France. She had only her father, as her mother had died when she was very young. Her father was an aspiring inventor, always creating silly little machines. Since she was a young girl, she had helped him in his endeavors, which resulted in her becoming quite handy. She learned quickly what people thought of her father. That he was daft, and mad. That none of his inventions would ever work. Regardless of the musings of her fellow townspeople, she loved her father and helped him with his ideas whenever she could.
She was considered very odd in her village, strange because she loved the written word, had fantasies of far off lands. Not something young women should be preoccupied with. In their eyes, she should have been empty headed, and demure. Preparing to make herself someones wife. Well, she thought that was complete close minded nonsense. Now, don't mistake this for blatant rebelliousness. Belle simply did not like to constrict herself to the norm. She was free spirited and strong willed.
Eventually Belle brushed off the comments and whispers from the town. She knew she was odd, maybe a little different. But it suited her just fine. What fun would it be to be normal anyhow? Live each day the same as the last, no excitement. The thought of living like that made Belle all the more willful and dreamy.
It was often she thought about far off places, telling herself she would one day go somewhere brand new. And it wasn't until she was twenty, that she realized she finally could.
Other:Dreams do come true!
TELLtheTALE
Sample Post:
"Well, It's now or never..Belle told herself. She was finally leaving. Finally getting the adventure she craved so badly. She had packed up some bags, finished her chores for the last time, and went to see her father.
Naturally he was fiddling with another of his inventions. "Papa? Papa, where are you?" She called. -CLANG- A puff of smoke billowed from the invention."Papa!" She ran over to where he was and pulled him from it. "Oh Papa. Who's going to make sure you don't hurt yourself while I'm gone?" She asked him, smirking.
"Now Belle, I don't need a babysitter, I'm a grown man! He replied, brushing the soot from his shirt and trousers. "I can manage just fine on my own. Now you get going on that...silly adventure of yours.."He shooed at her, trying to hide the tears welling up in his eyes. Belle smiled at him. She knew goodbye would be hard on him. But she wouldn't be gone forever. She just wanted a taste of the world. To see some of its wonder outside of the little village.
She hugged him tightly."I'm going to miss you,Papa. But don't worry. I'll be back before you know it.
