Personality: Well, you could say Bonnie's a bit of a black sheep. (This is off to a really bad start if I'm already making puns.) Even though the traditional girl in "her story" wears long dresses, tights, and high heels, she's not a huge fan of that. She personally prefers to question the norm and go strongly against it. She developed an artistic skill so she could design tattoos. She can't stand classical music, so she bought as many rock and punk albums that she could get her hands on. She has done everything that she can to defy her parents and make them angry, and in so, turned herself into a punk-rock machine.
Another reason she is not the traditional girl (or at least the traditional shepherd) is because she is extremely forgetful. Everywhere she goes, she forgets where she's going and has to go home, ask again, and write it on her hand so she doesn't forget. Anytime she goes to a friend's house for the night, she always forgets either her toothbrush or her sleeping bag. If she- well, you get the picture. The worst thing that she usually does is keep the house or the fence open after dark. How else do you think she lost the sheep?
Appearance: Bonnie has bright blue eyes that are usually surrounded by black makeup to make them pop out at you. She has the kind of smirk that really drives adults crazy, but makes her friends know, "Hey! I'm on your side." Her skin is very pale from hiding under that bonnet and large, floofy dress for most of her life. Her hair is light blond, but black streaks are visible under it and she may just spontaneously die a streak of it pink for a day, because why not?
Her shoulders and upper back are covered in one single tattoo: the name of one of her favorite rock bands, "Sword and Guitar," in calligraphy. She has various other tattoos, but they are always hidden from sight (unless you were to catch her with no clothes on).
Speaking of clothes, the ones that she wears are certainly surprising to any princess who thought that dresses are the only thing that ladies can wear. She usually wears black leather jackets, jeans, and dark blue sneakers. Instead of a bonnet, she now wears a black hoodie to protect her easily-burnt skin from the sun.
History: When Bonnie was born, her whole life was laid out for her. She was going to be a little shepherd until she grew up and became the cooking, cleaning, and baby-making wife of a man with a large estate. Bonnie was okay with that as a little kid. As all little girls do, she wanted to be a princess, and her parents assured her that she would as long as she was a good shepherd.
She was, quite frankly, a horrible shepherd.
She constantly left the gate open, causing the sheep to run away. Then she had to chase them down in her dainty little shoes until she found them and had to corral them back into the stall. She was pretty bad at corralling, as well. She would always yell and smack at the sheep, not understanding that the sheep responded better to gentleness and soft words. The poor sheep were traumatized every time she came near, especially when she had a pair of sheers in her hand.
The family's wool supply went dramatically down the first year Bonnie tried being a shepherd. Her parents yelled at her constantly, which caused poor Little Bo to feel unwanted in the house. As a retaliation, she yelled back at her parents, which caused them to yell at her, which created a vicious cycle. She couldn't walk out of her own house without hearing screaming. As she grew older, she stopped yelling and began putting her anger into other things, like slightly grotesque paintings and learning how to use a tattoo pen.
Her parents learned quickly that she could not possibly be a good, traditional wife. At the age of 16, she was sent off to boarding school, just because they couldn't afford to have her on their hands.
So now she's here.
Other: Dreams do come true at this school, huh? We'll see about that. *grins and grabs tattoo needle*
TELLtheTALE
Sample Post: Bonnie stepped out of the car and stared at the large building and campus before her. She knew it was big, but she hadn't ever seen a building that was THAT big. Her eyes widened a bit, and she nearly stepped out of the car without taking any of her luggage.
"Bo! Your stuff!" Her mother called. She blinked, shook her head slightly, as if the physical movement would rattle some sort of better memory into her brain permanently. It never worked, but it was enough to make her remember her more immediate task. She grabbed a suitcase out of the car that contained a few things: her laptop, her iPod, a few notebooks and sketchbooks, her paints, and a small collection of leather clothing. The whole thing was very heavy, but she had no intention of having her mommy walk her into school. Very uncool for the new student.
"We love you, baby Bo!" Her dad said, pulling her in for a kiss. She allowed a kiss on the cheek from both of her parents, faking a smile. Somehow, they had all come to the silent agreement that they would tolerate each other for the day. At least, until they were all out of each other's hair for the rest of the year.
"Bye, mom! Bye, dad!" She called as the car drove away noisily. She turned towards the school, wracking her brain to remember if she had forgotten anything. Paints? Check. Notebooks? Check. Clothes? Check. Toothbrush? ...
She dropped her suitcase, searching through it desperately to see if somehow, by some miracle, the toothbrush was in here instead of her small blue bag that she had left at the house.
It wasn't.
"...damn." She closed her bag, stood up, and walked towards the school building. She would have to go out and buy one, wasting her already small amount of money. Maybe she could get a job or something...
