Name: Tyrone Florin, Prince of Florin
Age: 17
Parents: Vanessa Ursula and King Humperdink of Florin
Personality: Oh, what’s there to say about Tyrone. He’s just like his father, in all actuality. He’s very self centered, and lives by the motto “Sacrifices must be made for the kingdom”. However, there is one way he differs from his dad. He’s nowhere near as cowardly. He’s actually willing to get his hands dirty and risk his life for what he wants. However, he’s just as much of a jerk. He was perfectly okay with his own mother being tortured for a week for using magic, but, he did save her from being burned at the stake by his dad. He feels he has natural right to rule the kingdom and no one, not even his idiot sister will ever be able to take it from him. He only wants to get married so he has a queen at his side and someone to pop out an heir. He doesn’t believe in love after seeing his parents and their…..there is no love in that household. At all. Also, he’s incredibly paranoid of people taking what is his by birthright, the crown. He also has pretty much no respect for women, which could be a problem when it comes time for him to get a queen so he can be king.
Appearance: Tyrone doesn’t have quite the curly hair like his parents, but that could be because he keeps it short. He loves his fashion too, no shock there, and he does strut around, probably because he has two parents who had egos the size of Everest, and he got ‘em both. He knows he’s handsome, but the ego ruins it. He’s constantly wearing a cocky smile, and often rolling his eyes. So while physical traits wise he may be more of his mother, his attitude shines through showing his father’s side of things.
History: Tyrone’s parents have a, special, relationship. They hate each other at a cellular level. Really. Tyrone grew up with Vanessa screaming at Humperdinck that his older sister, by two minutes he might add, was more capable of ruling a kingdom than “Any idiot son of his” and he was always closer to her father, probably because Humperdinck feared Vanessa would kill Tyrone off just to make sure Elizabeth got the throne. He also remembers Vanessa and Humperdinck threatening each other at least every day, if not more. Luckily, some might say, that never happened, but he was rarely out of Humperdinck's sight because of this, which might explain why despite looking more like his mother, he has the personality of his dad (Not that either of them were advisable for a child to receive exactly).
It wasn’t until the twins hit around age 14 or so that the killing ideas really began to set it. When both of your parents have tried to kill people, it’s bound to become an issue. Vanessa was all too happy to help Elizabeth take Tyrone out of the picture so the girls could rule. Humperdinck was also reminding Tyrone that Elizabeth was a threat to his rule, and he needed to get rid of her before she got rid of him. But y’see, Tyrone was never informed that his mother was ever a mermaid, much less a sea witch, so when he and his father were discussing the pr nightmares that could arise if he got caught killing Elizabeth and he heard shouting in a language he didn’t know and hissing and whizzing and popping he was horridly confused until he discovered his mother and sister brewing a potion, that he didn’t find out until later was meant to kill him. And when his father threatened to have her burned at the stake, which was completely fair to him, after all she was a witch, his mother started begging and crying to not kill her, like the pathetic lifeless woman she was, he couldn’t help but roll his eyes. Sadly, his sister reminded him that this was his mother, so he sighed and told his dad that and asked if anything could be done besides killing her. His dad was more than fair in the situation and made his mother destroy all her potions and ingredients, and by the time she had done it, she was crying. When she was brought back after not being sent to the pit of despair, she was basically the exact opposite of his mother, which was fine by him because now she was no longer a threat to his reign of Florin. He had no idea that now his sister wanted both him and their dad dead, for breaking their mother.
His younger brother, who at age 13 no one payed any attention to, walked in and when he tried to explain that it all had to be done, it didn’t work. Tyrone was eventually told by his father that he needed to develop a tolerance for idiocy and that Tintagel was a good place to do so he wasn’t pleased at all, and he was even less pleased when he found out his siblings were going. But he left Florin for the first time in his life and has now showed up at Florin and is ready to take over the kingdom.
