Rene knew that she needed to meet Morgana in a public place. It might have been months since they'd last met, but Rene certainly wasn't going to forget how Morgana had acted during those last few meetings. The magics had gotten out of control, and nearly done some serious harm to Rene. Yet this was the woman that she knew that Caz loved at some point in time. Plus, she was supposed to have his child.
But Caz was now changed. Different. He had aged back to being roughly the same age as Rene, even younger than Morgana. The only logical explanation was that something magical had happened to do this to him. Someone had cast a spell to permanently alter Caz's age. Since Morgana had magic, and she had been known to use it selfishly before, even upon her own unborn child, she made the most logical culprit.
But Rene wasn't going to meet her somewhere alone. Never again. If Rene had it her way, she would have gathered at least two or three of her friends to bring around. Merlin and Arthur would have been excellent companions. Or Wil, had she been available. Somebody who could have actually intimidated Morgana, at any rate.
Instead, Rene was approaching Morgana's table in the mess hall, people eating all around them. This way, should the other girl do something, people would actually witness it. Plus, there was the added bonus of possibly having a few friends in the crowd, or even people who would simply step in should some kind of conflict start.
Rene finally stopped before Morgana's table. She straightened up, forced a smile, and looked at Morgana.
"Hello, Morgana," she said. "How's your son?"
