It was a nice sunny day, rather warm except for the occasional cool breeze. A lot of students and teachers alike had taken their afternoons to spend time in the lovely courtyard of the school. Couples seemed to be making the best of the gorgeous day, some having picnics, some making out shamelessly while onlookers either stared or looked disgusted. Dogs were about, sniffing around or playing fetch or napping in the shade. It was beautiful and all seemed so peaceful and well. The grass was green, the birds were singing a marry tune and Andrina Triton was sitting, fully clothed, in the fountain located dead center of the commons. Yes all seemed well, except for her.
Given the strange occurrences that often happen at this school, it was no wonder that hardly anyone paid her any heed. Anyone that knew her would have certainly known something was wrong, what with the way she was hugging her knees and staring blankly at a world she failed to comprehend properly any longer. Her dark mascara smeared her cheeks as the fountain mercilessly spewed water over her head. Her blond locks stuck to her scalp, looking unflatteringly like an over saturated mop. Her simple dress clung to her slender frame and provided little protection against the periodic breeze that sent shivers down her spine. Her chest moved up and down slowly, like she might be sleeping, though her blue eyes remained open, hardly ever blinking.
She appeared to be mumbling something, a song that had been stuck in her head, though for reasons she could no longer remember. How could I ever forget... she sang softly, her voice broken and hoarse. Outside the morning was cool and wet Cool, cool and wet...thats why she was in the water, trying to remember...something....the meaning of the song? Someone? It was devastatingly frustrating and Andy clenched her teeth before she continued. He had such chills but still...he lay there so still Who? who Lay there? was someone hurt? What did it matter...this was just a song! She didn't make up this song, its just some song! The little blonde gave a shout of frustration and beat the water with her fists for a good minute before returning to her previous state of quiet staring. How could I ever forget... she started again.
