Tulio felt... different. He wasn’t the most observant person at times, usually tending to be so wrapped up in himself that he barely noticed anything that didn’t really affect him, but he had noticed a distinct change. It wasn’t the different hotspots, businesses changed all the time, or nor the somewhat more structured and elaborate social activities at the school, he barely noticed them. It was just a feeling. He still felt lonely and abandoned, but just recently he also felt that he would get past that. If they didn’t need him then he sure as hell didn’t need them. He’d show them. He was confident in his fabricated persona now, he would convince everyone he was a prince, he would make some rather lucrative wagers, and he would make his fortune, all by himself.
It wouldn’t be long before he, Tulio, would be among the rich and beautiful... just like the absolute vision in scarlet he caught a glimpse of as she disappeared into the cafe he had been heading toward. Dark hair, the air of mystery... she looked as dangerous as she was beautiful. Probably not someone he wanted to mess with, but then again...
He blamed his recent coffee addiction as he quickened his step and entered the cafe, falling into line behind her.
It was Prince Charming time.
“You must be new,” he commented conversationally, attempting to draw her attention. “I would have remembered seeing you around here before.”
All she wanted was a quiet coffee. It was something she'd very quickly discovered since arriving at Tintagel, something that had never been heard of in Camelot, and it was wonderful. And so, on leaving her residence this morning, dressed in one of her finest scarlet dresses, (she wasn't quite ready to forgo her Camelot wardrobe in favour of the fashions of Tintagel - women, wearing trousers?!) she had made her way to the nearest coffee shop for a large mug of Tintagel's finest.
She had not anticipated being hasselled by some boy, who clearly fancied himself as some sort of Lothario. Raising an eyebrow as he spoke, she turned to regard him with a scathing expression. "Is that really the best you can do? I know it's early, but really." She smirked, looking him up and down. "C-. Must try harder."
She crossed her arms across her chest as she turned away from him, her smirk growing as she moved towards the counter. He was very attractive, she'd grant him that. And if he fancied trying again, she certainly wouldn't do too much to dissuade him. For now, anyway.
She glanced back at him through her eyelashes with a small smile as she stepped forward to order her strong, black coffee.
Wow, she was even more beautiful when she was up close... and smirking and insulting him... not the point! Sure, Tulio could have given up right then, many men would have, but many men were idiots and Tulio fancied himself, well, not one. Many would take the shot and limp away, tail between their legs, thinking she wasn’t interested. Tulio, though, noticed that little smile she gave him afterwards, that glance back over her shoulder to make sure he was still there. Oh yes, she was interested; she was just playing hard to get.
Sidling up beside her at the counter, he gallantly pulled a few bills from his wallet and addressed the coffee shop attendant. “I’ll pay for that,” he announced, “and I’ll have the same... only with cream and sugar.”
Hey, if he was going to pull this Prince con, then surely there could be more in it for him than just the money and the fame and the bragging rights whenever Miguel came crawling back. Oh yes, revenge would be sweet.
She raised an eyebrow as he pulled a wad of notes out of his pocket. New money... she thought to herself, smothering a smirk. No one who was used to having money ever really pulled it out like that. Not where she was from, anyway. But, she wasn't going to argue, if he wanted to pay for her drink. In fact, she'd take advantage of it.
"I'll have a chocolate muffin as well." She said to the cashier. "As long as that's alright with my financier?" She turned to him with a small smile, fluttering her eyelashes just a little.
Looking him up and down, she decided if he wanted to flash his cash around, she'd take advantage of it fully. If he gave her the chance, she'd push it as far as she possibly could. It'd be fun.
Looking over at the beautiful woman (honestly, he could barely take his eyes off of her), Tulio got a goofy look on his face when she fluttered her lashes at him. Oh boy.
“Sure, yeah, that too,” he agreed, holding a few bills out to the cashier, barely paying attention to how much he was handing over. He probably would have bought everything in the display case, if he could afford it, if she had asked right then. There was just something very... bewitching about her.
Of course the long, dark, silky hair didn’t hurt. He always had been a sucker for that...
“Where would you like to sit, milady,” Tulio asked, getting himself in control enough to play up the gallantry as their drinks were prepared.
The staring was starting to get annoying. Morgana bit her tongue as a sharp comment crept into her mouth, and forced a smile as she turned from the counter to look around the coffee shop. She saw an empty table in a corner and gestured towards it.
"We'll sit there." She said with a smile. "I'll go and save the table, you can bring the drinks." She made her way over to the table and sat down, her smile disappearing as soon as her back was turned from him. She rolled her eyes. Sure, he was very cute, but she was sure he could get annoying fast. But she was getting a free coffee out of it, and with the cash he had, she'd get as much out of him as she could. It might be fun.
Watching the beauty walk away, Tulio snapped out of his trance when the coffee shop attendant cleared his throat. Turning back with a goofy smile, the dark haired boy watched as their order was placed on the counter and his change was handed back. Collecting everything on a tray, he slowly made his way over to where his lady sat, making sure to take his time and hold himself in a princely manner.
“My lady,” he said, placing the coffee and muffin before her before taking the seat across from her. “I ask but one thing in return,” he continued, playing it smoothly, or so he believed. “I wish only the honour of knowing your name.”
It was cheesy, for sure, but some women went for that. If nothing else, they often found the gallant mood amusing. The prince or the clown, he could play either role.
((Sorry for the long and the fail post. Tulio muse is so not cooperating lately))
"Oh please." Morgana couldn't help but smile slightly. "Do you just have these lines waiting to use on unsuspecting girls?" She asked with a raised eyebrow. "My name is Lady Morgana." She said with a slight tilt of her head. It never hurt to throw in her status as nobility every now and then. This guy clearly wasn't nobility himself, so it would be interesting to see his reaction. She silently made a bet with herself as to how he'd react.
"Now you know my name, I feel I should know the identity of the stranger who has so generously provided me with coffee." She said, slightly mocking his cheesy lines with a smile.
