Galahad needed music to train to. He hated running, hated it with a passion, and if he was going to get himself in shape to become a knight, he was going to need something to distract himself from the pain and that nasty taste he got in his mouth when he'd been out of breath for too long. He had picked out some kind of music storage and portable playing device, and he was determined to find some good music to put on it.
Something with a fast beat, something that wouldn't make him feel like he was being stabbed in the ears with violent guitar solos. Something inspirational, that would get his blood really pumping and give him the motivation to push through the gut-wrenching pain of running uphill in the early spring sun. After searching for nearly an hour, he had located a CD that was nearly perfect, and had put it into the store player. He put the oversized headphones onto his ears, and was quickly lost in the music.
He began to hum along with it, and the humming evolved into singing, and by the time he noticed that he was singing out loud, he also noticed that there was a girl standing quite close by who might not appreciate his musical enthusiasm.
"Together we'll break these chains of...sorry. So sorry. Didn't see you there, I was just..." He gestured towards the headphones, as if that would explain his noisiness.
