Oh, the wonderful joys of work. Arista worked at the Cafe on the Corner and usually it was pretty busy, as it was right now. She was a server here, and a job like that was pretty much demanding. Do this, do that. Her favorite was; 'I need more to drink' or anything that started with 'I need...'. Really? It was not an I need. The customers never needed anything, unless it was to use the bathroom of course. It was always a want. You WANT that, you don't NEED it. People in poor areas of the world need things that you can have whenever you want it.
Right now she was serving a family with a small child who just loved to toss his food around. Those kids were always annoying. Especially when their food landed on you. Unfortunately, that was what just happened to Arista as she was taking their dessert order. The kid was messing with his spagetti and SPLAT, it landed on her blouse. A glare formed on her face as her cheeks started to become a shade of red. She was a princess, and if it wasn't for Andrina, she would be treated like a princess. She loved her sister, but because she decided to hook up with the wrong man and get her heart all broken and stuff, they were sent to Tintagel Academy for a new start. Arista had to follow to look after her sister, which she rarely did. She had her own life, and she wasn't going to let their father ruin it by making her be Andrina's babysitter.
"Excuse me, as I walk away to wipe my blouse that YOUR child so kindly threw food at." She told the couple with an annoyed face. One of things you should always do is smile and keep the customers happy, but she was not in the mood to do that when parents couldn't even keep their child from throwing food. It was not a baby, it was a toddler. He was probably like two or something. She turned on her heels and stomped away, dropping the pad of paper and pen she was using to take the order on the counter where the cash register was. She went into the back and grabbed a wet cloth with a small amount of soap to wash the stain on her blouse as best as she could.
