It was quiet inside the little chapel save for the occasional echo of a soft, female voice. It was a sort of coo, a gentle way of speaking as if she feared she might stir up the spirits in this place if she spoke too loud. She was unusually pale and fragile looking, but her exhausted eyes smiled as they gazed down at the spot beside her on the pew where a curious little boy sat. He couldn't have been more then six years of age, but her carried himself with a sort of confidence that left no question about his quick witted mind and adventurous spirit. He had eyes that mirrored the woman's in color, though they sparkled with a certain health that hers currently failed to capture. He unconsciously laid a hand on her arm as his head spun about, taking in his new surroundings. She could feel the warmth of his palm radiating through her skin like the infectious nature of love. Such a beautiful boy to have come into her life, such a beautiful boy that doesn't exists.
Do you remember my daddy? ask the boy with the blue eyes. The pale blonde seemed to be attempting to hide a painful grimace as she looked down at the little boy who she'd hate to hurt more than anything. She reached out after a moment a brushed his bangs to one side before letting out a strained sigh Why do you keep asking me that she answered in a weary tone, recalling the fact that he had said no word to her for as long as she could remember except to question her memory of his father. She didn't want to remember his father, she didn't want to think about his father, she didn't want to talk about his father, and she most certainly did not want her son to know anything about the terrible man from which he carried a terrible resemblance.
Well do you? he pressured innocently, though Andy's knuckles turned white as she locked a plethora of negative emotions inside. I don't want to talk about him Monty said she, an unfortunate edge creeping into her tone. The boy, Monty, seemed suddenly hurt and began to quickly fade from view like some sort of ghost. Andy gasp and jumped to her feet, extreme anxiety and pain riddling her entire being as she reached out to the disappearing figure. NO NO COME BACK! she screeched, the mood of the conversation suddenly taking a sharp turn into frenzied sorrow as her cracking voice seemed to invade the once peacefully quiet room. STOP she sobbed, tears rushing down her face as she pleaded with her son, still he vanished and she was left on her own once more. She sat back down and curled up into a ball, loudly crying into her knees as she cursed herself for driving him away. Him, the only thing that she could cling to in her dizzying, confusing world, and now he was gone again. And she was alone...again.
