Olivia was good at sports, but she preferred swimming over any of the cheerleading, softball, archery, volleyball, or any of the other sports she had joined. She loved the water in general - the pool, showers, baths, rain, lakes, rivers, all of it. Many compared her to a fish but she didn't mind - she'd been called worse things in her life.

So it was only natural to find Olivia at the school swimming pool after school, already stripped down to the pink and aqua blue bikini she wore - her two favorite colors. Her towel laying aside, Olivia instantly headed for the ladder that led up to the high dive. She was somehow alone in the swimming pool - mostly because other students didn't use it often enough. Olivia was such a fish - something AIden had clearly gotten her hooked on when they had met those years ago.

Stretching as she reached the top, Olivia took a small run and jump, landing on the edge of the diving board. She flipped in midair and dove straight down, making the smallest splash possible as she disappeared into the water. If possible, sh would have stayed under forever. Being human, however, she surfaced a few moments later and inhaled deeply, relishing the feel of the cold water against her skin. It was relaxing to her far more than anyone could understand - and at least being here, swimming, her mother couldn't object her after school activities.

Aiden was a natural swimmer. Her mother was born a mermaid for cripes sake and her father turned out to be excellent at navigating through water as well. She was taught to swim at a very young age and she'd loved it ever since. It was one small thing that she and her parents could share without her having a massive heart attack for fear of not being good enough. She was glad to hear there was a pool here at Tintagel and had visited this place quite often since her arrival. She liked to come late at night when no one was really around and just lay at the bottom of the pool and think, being that she had inherited her mothers ability to breath underwater. She'd think about her day, about her problems, just about life in general. It was where she could really just relax and sort through things. Sort of like meditating or yoga to only Aiden wouldn't be caught dead doing either of those activities.

She'd chosen a simple striped bikini today, her tie around skirt, towel, and flip flops lay abandoned on a bench near the life guard equipment since Aiden had left them there and immediately dove in and allowed herself to sink to the bottom of the pool upon arrival. She didn't have much to think about today. Met an extraordinarily annoy kid by the name of Costin, but he wasn't that much of a bother, she could handle it. Other than that, though, she didn't have much to worry about aside from her parents. They were an constant worry, however, it was a wonder how they got through the day without one, accidentally killing themselves or two, embarrassing her to death. She sigh and she watched a cluster of bubbles reach the surface, just as someone dove into the water not two feet away from her.

Aiden instinctively moved away slightly and cocked her head to the side with confusion, until her mind put two and two together and she realized who it was. Aiden smiled. Aiden didn't have a whole lot of friends. That could be because she wasn't terribly kind, but she did have one best friend. Olivia Heart. It just killed her parents to know that she was friend's the with the former headmistresses daughter being that that was the woman that caused them so much grief. It bothered Aiden a little two, she felt for the she really did, but her and Liv understood each other and, though she'd never say so, she needed someone to tell all her secrets to.

Aiden pushed off the bottom of the pool and surfaced a few seconds after her friend, grinning. Well naturally you'd be the one to ruin my alone time she said sarcastically, an overdramatic air of superiority about her.

Olivia had one best friend in the entire world - Aiden Mumble. It had been sheer accident that they'd become friends in the first place. Her mother had threw a fit, but Olivia hadn't cared. She didn't know the entire backstory, but she knew enough that her mother had tortured and caused Aiden's parents grief on several occassions. But the girls had pushed past that to become best friends in the entire world.

Olivia rolled her eyes and splashed Aiden as she spoke.

"You have plenty of alone time. I came here to relax too. Ironic we both ended up here for quiet time." She said and moved to float on her back. She was a natural born swimmer, but why she'd never guess. She was like a fish herself. Maybe her father had been a merman, like Aiden's mom. Olivia had no clue as the identity of her father and was rather afraid to ask her mother about it, so it was quite possible her father could be anyone.

"Besides, I think you'll live."
