Personality: Tulio and Miguel like to claim that they’re the brains of the operation, but really, have you looked at them? The brains of their cons clearly resides within the native of El Dorado. For Chel has no qualms about stealing, conning, or generally doing whatever it takes to get whatever she wants. As far as she’s concerned, the main purpose in life is to be free, free to live, love, and everything that goes along with it. The downside? Chel’s willing to do whatever it takes in order to stay free. It just so happens that she’s been conning and stealing for as long as she can remember, and that’s so much easier than the whole working for things bit.
So Chel’s savvy, street-smart, and not above pick-pocketing or petty thievery, for that matter. However, she’s got an extra weapon that her two cohorts sadly lack: sex appeal. Chel’s a looker, and she knows it, and has absolutely no qualms about using it to get what she wants. Generally speaking, this means flirting and leading on men, particularly men with something to give Chel. However, she’s not above pretty much any flirtation or action that will lead to her getting precisely what she wants, which, if you think about it, is rather on the dangerous side, isn’t it?
This isn’t to say that Chel doesn’t have some loyalty. There’s a line you don’t cross, and that line mostly involves hurting people. Outside of physical harm though, well, let’s just say that Chel realizes you sometimes have to step on a few people to get to the top. Just don’t take much of she says seriously; it’s probably not going to work out.
Appearance: Again: Chel is a knockout, and she knows it. The aforementioned pair of miscreants once tauntingly suggested that they should have called the hidden city “Chel Dorado” for a good reason. For Chel has the curvy body of a sexy latina, with womanly features that generally make men crane their necks. Since she grew up around a society that didn’t exactly relish putting on much in the way of clothing, she’s followed suit here. It’s not just the whole “I’m sexy and I know it” thing; Chel actually finds too many layers of clothes to be restricting. Which causes a bit of a problem whenever it gets cold, but we’re getting off topic.
Again, since Chel knows she’s sexy, she carries herself in that manner. Her hips sway as she walks, and her dancing has a bit of a sensuality to it. An unkind girl might refer to her as “easy,” and from appearances, they’d probably be right…
History: Chel was the third partner added to the now infamous duo of Miguel and Tulio. The only real reason the two ever cut her in on the deal was because they needed some insider knowledge in order to pull off their con. Yes, Chel was one of the first to recognize that the “gods” weren’t exactly the most divine beings in the universe. However, unlike some of her villagers, Chel wanted in on the con; mostly so she could get out.
So Chel worked with Miguel and Tulio, getting them the gold they needed in order to be as rich of kings. Once, when Miguel wanted to slink away in order to enjoy the fabulous city of gold, Chel offered to keep Tulio busy. Using those same charms that had distracted the boys earlier, she convinced the Spaniard to spend some quality time. Against her original plan, however, she found herself developing feelings that were a little deeper than she’d originally intended. The plan and the freedom it brought were the most important things though, so, with the two, she set out from El Dorado.
Again like those two, she wound up at a school called Avalon at some point. Something pulled her away though, called her back. She can’t remember anything that happened; she only knows that she was at this magical school this one time, and that there were people there. Something about an older man occasionally bubbles to the surface of her mind, but nothing definite. Seeking adventure, she managed to make her way to Tintagel, convinced that she’ll be able to find the boys and strike up their partnership yet again.
Other: I tried to piece things together from Tulio’s and Miguel’s apps, but if I need to change anything, lemme know. Also I'm Bunny, obviously, and I think I just squeaked by on posts with Astrid.
TELLtheTALE
Sample Post: “I think I like the gold one best,” mused Chel. She picked it up, holding it against her skin, admiring the glistening yellow against the tanned flesh. A slight twist, and she could see the jewel shining on the insert. While she’d never really considered herself greedy before, Chel had to admit to missing the gold from time to time. If only they’d managed to get more away. Pity.
Chel flashed a dazzling smile at the shopkeeper, turning her hand slightly, “I don’t suppose you’d be willing to let me try it on? Just for a moment? I could model it for you,” she strolled a little closer, letting her fingers walk their way about the man’s shirt. He was way too old for her, and reminded her far too much of the chief back home, but hey, might as well try it while she could. The man was certainly nodding enough. Letting out a little squeal, Chel moved forward to give him a peck on the cheek, before turning. She lifted her hair out of the way, baring a neck for the man to fasten the necklace along. As she expected, it looked lovely against her skin, and she wasted no time in posing to look.
Then the urge rose within. Grinning, she turned, pointing into the street. “Did you see that? Someone’s stealing from that cart! Right—“ Chel paused, lowering her finger. Mostly because there actually was someone stealing from said cart, or at least, admiring the goods. Weird, things usually didn’t go that way. Maybe Miguel really was cursed. Not wanting to waste time, Chel dashed into the street, waving her arms and demanding guards, police, whoever kept law and order around here. Clearly there was a thief that needed apprehending (one that totally wasn’t wearing a gold necklace).
