Around her friends, Jessie has a tendency to be more than a little crazy. Somewhat random, she doesn’t care about being spontaneous and might do anything from a slight tickling to a half tackle to you if she feels like it. She’s happy just being around people, and likes to laugh.

Like so many redheads, Jessie has temper, and she doesn’t take being hurt well, although whether or not she takes active revenge depends on the crime against her. On the outside, she tries to put on the appearance of being tough, but is really quite sweet and easily hurt.
Horses are her favorite animal, as she has been riding since, well, forever, but she really just likes animals in general, and likes taking care of various injured critters when she can. She hopes someday to be a teacher, pediatrician, or maybe a veterinarian, although she doesn’t really know which yet.

With bright gold-red hair and piercing green eyes, Jessie McElroy is a combination of recessive genes. She’s only slightly pale, though, and is fortunate in the fact that her skin isn’t terribly sensitive to sun. On the other hand, there’s only so far that tolerance for sun goes, and her cheeks are perpetually somewhat pink due to spending too much time outside. Her hair is hardly ever left down; that would just be in the way and too much trouble, and doesn’t even look that nice (that’s what she thinks, anyway; other people might disagree), so most mornings after showering she puts it into one or two simple braids.

Jessie pretty much grew up in jeans, and at the moment they dominate close to half of her closet. Some are more casual for any time she’s working or riding, while others are nicer for other occasions. She does own a very few skirts though, on the random occasion she feels like looking nicer. Her shirt choices are certainly more varied, and she’ll wear just about style as long as it’s fairly modest, so her shirt wardrobe is somewhat large and contains anything from tank tops to plaid to long sweaters and beyond.

history:
Before coming to the school, Jessie spent her whole life on her parents’ large-sized ranch located in Arizona. She learned how to ride early in life, and helped out with a few simple jobs around the ranch on summer vacation, but her parents were adamant about her school attendance and never let her lose days just to help out at home. Three years ago, her parents were killed in a car accident, leaving the ranch for her, provided she finished high school and went college, and in the meantime, her Aunt Emily would run things.

For almost two years, everything went smoothly on the ranch, but then, for some reason, Emily literally went crazy, crazy to the point where she had to be institutionalized. It was decided that Jessie would finish her schooling at Tintagel, and would then be able to take over the ranch, which was put temporarily into capable hands. Until her school is done, then, Jessie is stuck at Tintagel Academy, and she’s content with that since she fully realizes that she couldn’t take care of an entire ranch at this age, and her horse from the ranch was even sent with her.

Jessie is very claustrophobic. She hates small spaces, she hates dark spaces, although normal nighttime is generally okay since there’s usually the moon and stars, but really she can barely tolerate the thought of a combination of dark and small. (Somewhat in the same category is also her dislike of being alone)
