personailty: While Milo's negative traits are those that people tend to associate with him the most (his social ineptitude, his awkwardness, etc), he has redeeming qualities as well. He's extremely loyal to his friends, and once someone has gained his trust, he has been known to put his own neck on the line for them if the situation calls for it. He is also highly determined, to the point of obsession, and if something catches his interest, he will put his all into it. He's extremely smart, particularly when it comes to history, anthropology, and language, a lot of which is due to his travels during his younger years.

In addition to Milo's positive aspects, though, he is also incredibly scatterbrained. He forgets things, loses things, breaks things, all because he can't seem to stay focused on things that aren't academic. He is socially awkward, and isn't terribly outgoing, so whatever new friendships he gains are usually the result of someone choosing to reach out to him, not the other way around. He's pretty scrawny, too, and rarely works out, so he's not exactly the kind of guy you'd pick to have your back in a fight. Neatness is not a strong point for him, either, and his room looks like a complete disaster zone.

appearance:
Milo is moderately tall, and due to his complete lack of any noticeable muscle accumulation, is very slender. He has light brown hair which falls around his face in a somewhat shaggy manner, and greyish green eyes which sit on either side of a slightly turned up nose behind glasses that he tries to keep remotely stylish. Somehow, he usually fails in that pursuit.

He has a tendency to wear clothes that are a couple years out of style, or completely wrong for the occasion, although he cleans up all right when someone helps him out. He tries not to draw too much attention to himself if he can avoid it, and spends a lot of his time looking at the floor in front of him trying not to trip. This gives him the appearance of being quite introverted...which is not really inaccurate.

Another interesting physical trait of Milo's is his tendency to make up some new, odd facial expression for whatever situation he's faced with. He has approximately seventeen different smiles, and more than a few bewildered expressions, along with a whole repertoire of grimaces, scowls, quizzical glances, and others. His face is a pretty good indicator of how he's feeling, as he's never been particularly good at putting up a front.
history:
History: Milo was raised by his grandfather after his parents were killed in a somewhat unlikely accident during a vacation to the Alps. He was really too young to remember the incident, so he wasn’t particularly scarred by the experience. All he knew was that for as long as he could remember, he’d been on the move. His grandfather traveled to a number of places, never stopping for more than a year and a half in any one place.

Milo began to study and learn the languages of the places they visited. He started with Latin, and that basis made it somewhat easier for him to master Spanish, French, and Italian. Portuguese followed soon after Spanish, and during a sojurn to the Eastern world, he learned Japanese. German and Dutch were his souvenirs from Holland, and Russian and Serbian were added to his repertoire after their stay in central Europe. Of all the languages he has mastered, though, Atlantean remains his favourite, and the one he is most proud of learning.

Milo’s grandfather died just recently, and he was sent here to finish his schooling. Having made his way through various grades at schools around the world, he has played catch up in some subjects, and has been bored out of his mind in others, primarily history and linguistic ones. He finished his high school years at Avalon, and has begun university classes this year.

Another experience worth mentioning is his relationship with Kidagakash, princess and future queen of Atlantis. He fell quite hard for her when he was in Atlantis, and after she came to Avalon, he eventually managed to admit to his feelings for her, which she appeared to return. They were "officially" together for a matter of weeks before she vanished. He hasn't heard from her since, and has no idea where she is, and at this point, is doing his best to move on.
