One morning when Gaston wakes up, he'll leave the cottage he's staying in to find a group of [npc] students outside the door, staring at him in adoration. They'll follow him round, often getting in his way or constantly reaching out to touch him with an expression of awe.
Anyone who encounters Gaston will feel a similar pull, and an urge to fawn over him. They'll decide he's wonderful and they need to be near him - often to obsessive degrees. Break into his house, try and stroke his hair, vapidly agree with everything he says, applaud his slightest victory, write and recite ridiculous poetry, Gaston is the best and the rest is all drips
