Using a wheelchair was difficult under normal circumstances for Andy. Using a wheelchair in the snow was nearly as bad as just trying to slide along the ground with her tail. Andy had considered it. Oh boy had she considered it, but there were a lot of people in the market, shopping for gifts and all that. She would either get trampled or trip at least a thousand people.
Andy stopped and took a breath as her wheels slid and caught on the ice and snow and she tried to navigate around people. Everything was going to be fine. This was only a temporary thing. She would have legs soon and in the meantime why not see what she could find around town for the wedding. Andy grinned. The Wedding. She was getting married. It nearly made her giggle just thinking about it. Funny how something that made her sick to her stomach years ago made her jumpy with excitement now. Andy was pretty confident this one wasn't going to leave her at the alter. If he did she'd just kill him and hide the body. That was a joke. Maybe.
Andy saw and opening in the crown and pushed hard on her wheels, flipping her tail a bit with effort and she rolled forward. She was nearly in the store when she realized she'd caught a patch of ice and was sliding directly toward someone. Andy didn't even have time to shout a warning and simply braced herself and squealed as she rapidly approached some poor stranger.
Giselle was utterly delighted with the market. There were so many things to see and to look at! There was so much that she had to reach out and touch! Some things were so beautiful and delicate that she wasn't allowed to touch, but she crowded around the glad to ooh and ah over them anyway.
The boots she had found in the little cottage had for her just perfectly! And they were perfect for walking around the market. They were keeping her toes toasty warm too. And her dress was a heavier wool with lots of layers to keep the cold out. But even though she was bundled up it didn't keep the sound of squealing from reaching her ears, even though they were draped with a very soft scarf to keep them warm. She looked for the source of the squealing and saw that a mermaid in a wheelchair was coming straight at her! Goodly let out a shriek Yelp and then there was a stressful collision. Red hair went flying as Giselle landed in a snow bank on the ground. She would be a little bruised, but she didn't hurt too much.
Carefully she picked herself up and looked around for the mermaid. "Oh dear, are you alright?"
