Does Your Brother Know You're Here? {Aiden}

Aiden Mumble

Leela hadn't seen Mordred, but she had heard that things were settling down for him. She hoped that was partly Satan's influence, but either way, she had decided to come over to spend time for him. It was a bit of a surprise visit, she'd been spending a lot of time with the Camelot girls recently, and it had added a spring to her step. Actually, she was desperately trying to not think so much on just how lovely they had been. 

She was wearing a new long coat with a red dress. looking and feeling quite pretty, and more like her mother than ever.  

Still, on arrival it appeared they had now fitted a new intercom on the door, and so, with a smile, she pressed the button. 

"Hello? Mordred are you here? I just thought I'd pop by...."

She let go of the intercom and waited, patient to wait as she was used to Mordred either one, taking his time, or two, not coming to the door at all by this point.

Aiden was asleep. Let's just say it had been a very long night. She probably could have slept all day and that would have been just fine. It would have been healthy even, but apparently the Great Guin had other plans for her today because she nearly hit the ceiling when a voice suddenly rang loud and clear throughout the house. Aiden snorted awake and nearly fell of the bed she was so shocked by the sound. When the shock began to wear off she became aware of a pounding headache. Aiden moaned and held her head in her hands. Every part of last night she either didn't remember or didn't want to remember. She rubbed her temples gingerly and looked up to catch a glimpse of herself in the mirror on her dresser. Not too bad, all things considered. The messy day after look always suited Aiden. It complimented her rough personality.

After a minute Aiden realized she didn't hear Mordred, so someone was still waiting at the door. At least she assumed that was what all the noise was about. Mordred had mentioned something about magic locks. Whatever. With a spike of excitement Aiden thought it might be Todd with booze. It was barely the afternoon and Aiden already felt too sober. the longer she was awake the more she just wanted to crawl back into bed. It was still too early to think the video had gone away and Aiden kept pushing her heartsickness for Hinrik to the edges of her mind. It was a whole lot of effort keeping it together, but she felt even worse not that she had fallen apart. How was she supposed to rebuild on crumbling foundation?

With a massive sigh and the hope for numbing alcohol, Aiden threw on a shirt and dance shorts and headed down stairs. She threw her hair up in a messy bun as she approached the door. "Todd, if that's you, you're getting a big...kiss" Aiden finished the sentence upon opening the door and taking in the figure of a girl. This was not Todd, but sh could have a kiss too if she wanted. Aiden's head ached with more than a hangover. It pounded with thoughts and fears that couldn't be put back in their boxes as easily now that they had been let out once before. Hinrik, who? This lovely lady looked like a delicious new distraction.

Aiden couldn't help, but smirk a little as she looked her up and down. "Can I help you?" Aiden said, raising an eyebrow.

Leela swallowed as the woman opened the door. Not Mordred then. She tried to speak, but all of her courage left her. She was so used to Mordred being here, or Mordred not answering that she'd not exactly expecting anyone else.

And not a woman who was talking about kissing. Suddenly, the image of Lorelei flashed in her mind, but she bit it down with a chew on her lip.

"I'm sorry, I ---I just wanted to see Mordred...."

But then she saw the state of the woman, was she....perhaps drunk? Or had been drinking? She looked like she had just been woken up, and already she could feel the worry impressing on her stomach.

"I --- is he in? I don't want to disturb you?"

She wanted to see Mordred? Had Mordred invited a girl over and then forgot? That seemed like the type of thing he might do. While his loss could be her gain. She maybe should have tried to touch up her look a little. Ah, well, it was too late for that now. Thankfully Aiden had chosen one of her only collared shirts with long sleeves. Most of her bruises were covered from her night with Mordred. It was a soft and stretchy turtleneck type deal from her mother. Aiden wasn't much of a turtleneck girl, but she did have many clean clothes left and it was a little chilly in the house. Not to mention this girl had caught her off guard.

Aiden furrowed her brow a bit as the girl spoke, had she frightened her simply by answering the door. She watched her and raised a hand to ruffle her already messy hair, hoping she might get it to fall in a more pleasing way. The hangover was making her feel a bit woozy, so it took her a moment to process.

"Mordred is not in, but you can wait for him if you want" Aiden said, using her best nice person voice. She moved out of the doorway so Leela could enter if she wished. "You're not disturbing me" Aiden lied "I needed to get up anyway." Also not true. She moved into the living room then crossed into the kitchen, hoping the girl had decided to follow. "Do you want some..." Aiden was already holding a bottle of rum then reconsidered. What time was it? Did normal people drink this early? What do people drink besides liqueur? "Water?" Aiden concluded.
