What Frying Pans Are For {Rapunzel}

So Naveen was avoiding work again. Big surprise there. His latest plan for making sure that nobody made him do anything (more) to help rebuild the school was to head to the girls' dorm. See, he figured that nobody would think to check where the women generally stayed for him, since he had boy parts. He also figured that he could charm one of the women within as an added bonus. He'd win someone over, miss work, and maybe get a few sweet kisses.

This is to explain why he was going in through the window.

After the bit with Gaston, he'd lost most of his fear of falling off, since he seemed to have halfway decent balance. And he had done this a time or two in his past, so he had the experience. It was just a matter of clambering down some of the few remaining vines on the outside and gently pushing the window in (he didn't have a chair leg to break it, but this worked just fine). Then he slid inside the female's room and decided that this was as good a place as any to wait.

So he did: sitting down comfortably and humming to himself. As soon as he heard someone coming into the bedroom he was hiding in from outside, he popped up, grinning. "hello, beautiful, I am Prince Naveen of Mal--" We'll just assume that's about as far as he got...

For a place to be stuck against her will, it could have been worse. Rapunzel was still very disappointed that she hadn't gotten to see the lights on her eighteenth birthday, and really worried about her mother, but on the other hand she had free run of the castle and all the outbuildings, but more than that there were large, grassy fields, a beautiful lake, a creepy dark forest, and even a whole town to explore! All of which appeared to be practically deserted but that was besides the point. Maybe she couldn't go home, but she was still freer than she had ever been.

She just really wished she could get word to her mother. Mother was going to be so afraid and worried and crushed by Rapunzel's betrayal. How could she do this to her? But it had been an accident! She had only meant to go see the floating lights and then return right home, and now she couldn't.

She was a terrible daughter, even more terrible for the fact that she liked this place and all the magic that surrounded it.

Heading back to her room after a long day of cleaning and exploring, she had barely made it two steps into the room when someone jumped out of the shadows and talked to her. With a squeak she grabbed her trusty frying pan from it's honoured place hanging by a nail by the door, and swung directly at the attacker's head, connecting with a loud CLANG.

Fortunately for Naveen, Rapunzel hit him on the head, which was probably his safest bit. Oh it still hurt. It still stunned him. Naveen still tumbled back a few steps, swearing that he could literally see stars. No, wait, not stars; they were beautiful blonde angels.

"Look at all the pretty women!" he chirped, adding an almost deranged laugh. He tried to wave at them. "Please, ladies, there is enough of Naveen to go around!" Speaking of around, he was now sort of spinning. Or falling. He did feel the ground, so perhaps he'd actually fallen and was now swiping at the air? Things were a little fuzzy, since his head felt decidedly "clangy."

Bolting around to hide behind a chair, Rapunzel peered out at the weird man. He didn't collapse cold like Flynn had, but stumbled around a little before falling on his back, but even then his arms were still in the air waving around while he laughed in a scary way.

Be strong, Rapunzel. Bold and... and... not afraid!

“Are you a thief? A ruffian? You, sir, get out of my room before I hit you again!” That sounded bold, right? Fierce? But who was he even talking to? She was the only other person here, not these multiple ladies he seemed to think he saw. Maybe he was deranged! She kept her distance and her frying pan ready.
