Letter #1: To: Aiden From: Hinrik
Love,
I know we already spoke in person, but I needed to write you a letter. I need you to know that I love you, heart and soul. I am not abandoning you. I am not giving up on us. You don’t know how much I love you, but whatever may come, I hope I live so that I can come back to you. Fate brought you to me. I hope that the fates will see it fit for me to keep you in my life.
I’ve only let you go because the fates might have planned my death for me. You deserve to find happiness without me in that case. I don’t want you to be tied down to me if I might never come back. The life of a Viking is dangerous. You deserve more than that and if you can have that without me then you should. Have a wonderful life because you deserve it.
I love you more than you will ever know.

Letter #2 To: Aiden From: Hinrik
Love,
Winter is approaching. The Geats are very hospitable, but the language is much harder than our English. My sister Bryn and I don’t speak it well. It makes my father upset. We are safe for the moment, but battle worn. I broke my favorite axe.
I miss seeing your face and hearing your voice. The country here is beautiful in its own way, but it would be even more beautiful if you were here. I hope I’ll be back soon.
Ever yours,
Hinrik

Letter #3 To: Aiden From: Hinrik
Aiden,
Still alive. Still more monsters to slay. I’m getting tired of it honestly. There’s so much blood. It gets everywhere. Ruins a man’s shirt. Gets everywhere. Smells terrible. Can’t get the smell out of anything.
Love, I almost lost my sister today. Might still lose her. Bryn’s fighting, but medicine here is so primitive. I need you. I miss you. I love you.
