Personality: Naveen is lazy, selfish, and narcissistic, though he is at least somewhat aware of all that. He's been raised as the prince of Maldonia, and his parents must have been a little handsoff, either that or they just gave him everything. Naveen expects people to do as he says and to give him what he wants. If it's not because of his royal blood, then it's because he happens to be the most attractive man to ever exist anywhere ever. Failing that, it could be perhaps because of his admitted skill at playing music and singing: he seems to thoroughly enjoy both to the expense of nearly everything else.
This doesn't mean he's not fun to have around. Naveen believes in living life to the fullest, and that's easiest if everyone else around him is having a blast as well. He does like to see other people smile, and he cares about making sure that he's not the only one having a good time. Of course, his enjoyment is paramount, as is having everyone love him for the amazing prince that he just happens to be. Because of course he's amazing and he will most definitely not admit to anything else. Still, there's something fairly likeable about him, almost as if you can't help but be a little charmed by his smile and raw idiocy.
Though if he were left on his own, Naveen would most likely die. He doesn't seem to understand how to do the simplest things, beyond what's necessary for his hedonistic lifestyle. If it's a basic thing everyone should know, expect Naveen not to know it.
Appearance: Naveen is pretty; there's no getting around it. His mocha skin hints toward some sort of mixed heritage (since his parents are probably mixed). His rich upbringing means that he's quite healthy, despite his utter lack of ability to take care of himself. His dark hair shines and curls ever so slightly. His face has a roguish, charming look to it, including twinkling eyes. He's fairly slender in build, looking almost feline in overall consideration.
Naveen does like to move: he's almost always in movement of some kind, as if there's an internal dance that only he hears (give him some music, and he'll be dancing to that too). He dresses sharply, though not in clothing that would immediately identify him as a prince, just as someone who has a sharp sense of fashion.
History: Once upon a time a prince was born to a happy kingdom. His birth was celebrated, as is the custom for newly born royals. Maldonia, his land of birth, rejoiced at the arrival of Prince Naveen. There was a great showing of support, and soon everyone loved their new prince almost unconditionally. They showered gifts and support upon him, and he grew up without a want or need in the world. His loyal valet Lawrence would tend to his every whim. So Naveen enjoyed a life of leisure and hedonism that would be the envy of all.
Eventually, his parents had enough. Perhaps a little too late, they realized that their son had become a wastrel and a layabout. To remedy this, they decided to cut the pursestrings, sending their son to America, New Orleans to be precise. Naveen took this as a lark, taking his guitar and Lawrence and heading for the New World. His arrival there was much like it was in his homeland; lauded and celebrated. News spread that he would wed a particularly rich girl who happened to be at least somewhat good-looking, which suited Naveen somewhat.
However, Fate would intervene (GET IT, IT'S A JOKE ON MY NAME. BECAUSE I'M FATE). As Naveen and Lawrence explored New Orleans, they encountered one Dr. Facilier, a charming man with some interesting powers. The good doctor invited them to his abode, and Naveen readily agreed, happy to explore this new culture. There was this absolutely enthralling song with some magic and cards and so forth. Just at it all climaxed, however, a portal appeared, dumping the enthralled Prince Naveen somewhere utterly new. He's quite pleased by it, and he's sure everyone around him will be quite pleased to know him very soon.

TELLtheTALE
Sample Post: There were so many people here! Naveen could feel his body throbbing with the energy that came from seeing so many people gathered together in one place. There did seem to be far more men than women, which was a little disappointing, but at least the men that were there looked rather on the handsome side. Perhaps not the stringy one with the odd looking beard, but the rest looked fetching. Why, one of them almost looked downright royal! Yes, Naveen would fit right in here. The doctor's magic must have selected the absolutely best place in the world for him, a land where they were in desperate need of someone to show them how to have a good time. Because there was most certainly not enough partying for Naveen's liking.
"Hello all my new friends!" he cried, stepping forward, arms and smile wide. "I am so pleased to see that all of you are gathered together here! This is a party, yes? We should be dancing and celebrating the arrival of new friends and all of us here in this wonde---" Naveen paused looking around for a moment. HE actually couldn't quite recall where he was or what was going on. Still, he didn't see anyone insisting that he learn or do anything. "Wonderful new place! And it is all the more wonderful for my arrival. I'm sure you've heard of me, of course!"
Naveen smiled before looking around again. Shouldn't there be press here to cover this or something? There was at least one royal here, if not several. Plus there should be decidedly more refreshments. "Really though, someone should probably tell the staff that we need more libations!" Naveen rubbed his chin for a moment. He supposed he could try and mix drinks, but that didn't always work out so well...
