Beowulf hated today. Today was stupid. Today was utterly absurd. Nothing had gone right from the moment he had woken up. The only think right about today was the steady drizzle outside. The weather seemed to be reflecting his very mood, which was abysmal. He hated everything. It was all stupid and absurd. Everything and everyone.
He was glaring at everyone he had come across as if was their fault that his favorite shoes had lost a shoe lace and he couldn’t find the vest that he had wanted to wear today. It was black like most of his wardrobe, but he could not find it no matter where he looked and he was very put out. Not even the library, which was a place of sanctuary for him, could provide the solace he needed. Everyone was being loud and the book he had wanted wasn’t here even though the librarian had looked it up on her magical thing they called a computer and it was supposed to be on the shelf. But it wasn’t. And that was so absurd and stupid. Stupidly absurd. That’s what it was. This day was just getting ridiculous.
And the worst part was that Beowulf couldn’t even study in some hidden corner of the library either. All the hidden corners of the library were taken so now he had to study where everyone else studied in the main section of the library. There had only been one free table when he got there and he had managed to claim it for his own and any other students who even came near his table were glared at with such intensity that they quickly left the grumpy Viking alone. Today was not a good day.
