personailty:Harry Dresden is a very interesting wizard. Being that he was brought up in the normal world, and still attempted to practice magic for his own financial gain – hey, he didn't know Tintagel existed for so long, and the land his mother came from never seemed to like him, so why should be bother. At any case, he comes across as a hard boiled, sarcastic and overall is quite negative man when it comes to his own ability. He doesn't think much about himself for the most part, unless when he's buttering himself up to try and get him to not get killed. He comes across otherwise as a cheery, humble and cynical fellow who spent most of his life doing tasks for people as a private detective, fighting demons and werewolves and all the rest just so he can live in his apartment in Chicago. He hates to be alone and he fears rejection and those to be hurt at his hand. He really enjoys steak and though finds women impossible most of the time, is very old fashioned romantic.
appearance: Harry is a towering 6'9, with a mess of short un-tamed hair, stubble and a set jaw. He's gangly to look at and is often wearing joke t-shirts, jeans, boots and a black duster coat. He also is known to wear a white pentacle talisman that his mother gave him. Harry's overall appearance is of a powerful man when he wishes to command it. Otherwise he hunches slightly. He has no visible scars and has a kind half smile, and an even more viewable cheeky grin when he's been cynical in public
history: Harry Blackstone Copperfield Dresden was born to Margaret Le Fey 28 years ago. She died shortly after and his father, a humble and generous magician took care of him until the age of six, when his father died of a brain aneurysm. He spent some years as a ward of the state before being adopted at ten (shortly after manifesting his magical powers) by Justin DuMorne, a former member of the White Council, a powerful and righteous white beard organization who don't take magic lightly – and it was this man who turned renegade and dark mage. 

Justin later tried to make Harry as his slave in magic, but Harry fought back and in the process killed Justin. Harry was then entrusted to the care of Ebenezar McCoy, who mentored Harry and helped keep him out of trouble, until Harry was old enough to support himself.

After that, Harry left McCoy, went to Chicago and started his own Private Detective Business, which included fighting trolls, werewolves and other wizards who'd gone a little crazy. After a time though, the money was getting stretched and he had enough allies to be sure Chicago would probably safe without him for a little while, and has sort to go to Tintagel, a district unknown to the Never Never, where his mother was from – and hope to be able to find himself time to settle.
