(time jump yay!)
Dusty were tired. It’s been a long night and she felt bad ‘bout the way she’d treated Caden. She knew he thought she’d just wanted ‘im out, but it weren’t like that. She’d just been confused. She hadn’t known what ta do or how ta act. She was confused and she couldn’t even step outside ta catch ‘er breath. Oh no, she had ta keep on workin’ as if nothin’ were wrong. But it were wrong. Ever’thin’ were wrong.
She were dead tired now. It were real late and she just wanted ta sleep, but she had ta make it right with Caden. She had to. But it were likely that he’d be sleepin’ when she went ta knock on ‘is door. Or maybe she could just slip inta his room real quiet like and get inta bed with Caden. That’d be alright, though he’d have quite surprise in the morning.
She made ‘er way over to the hotel, and asked for Caden’s room number. The man at the desk seemed ta think somethin’ were goin’ on and honest, Dusty didn’t care. She needed ta see Caden, even if’n he were just sleepin’. She found ‘is door and tried the handle and it were locked. She knelt ta look through the keyhole, but she couldn’t see anythin’, which meant that’s he’d prob’ly left the key in the lock. Her corset were thin enough that she could slip it under the door so she quickly unbuttoned it and slipped it under the door. Then she pulled a hair pin outta her hair and pushed it inta the keyhole pushin’ the key outta the lock. Then she quickly pulled ‘er corset back from under the door, picked up the key and unlocked the door.
She moved inta the room and closed and locked the door behind ‘er. Caden were sleepin’ soundly just like she thought he’d be. Good. She pulled off ‘er shoes and stockings, leavin’ ‘em with ‘er coset in a pile on the floor. Then she climbed inta bed next ta Caden. Dusty stroked ‘is cheek once, then snuggled close and closed ‘er eyes.
