PRINCESS ALYSS LILY HEART?

IS GOING ON HERE?
name: Princess Alyss Lily Heart
nicknames: Does Alice Liddel count? And she thinks that Della sometimes called her Al...she's all right with that.
gender: Female
age: Nineteen
sexuality: Heterosexual
face: Mia Wasikowska
fairytale: Alice in Wonderland/The Looking Glass Wars
year: 1st in University
when i rule the world
I'LL PLANT FLOWERS!
I'LL PLANT FLOWERS!
personality: Alyss has the sort of love of life that only someone who managed to survive a dark time in her life could possibly have. While one can't say she is magically cured, it can be said that she's magically...better. But she's still the same girl really; just as stubborn, just as...well, I wouldn't want to say weird, but she's a rather unconventional young woman any way you slice it, isn't she? You can't have the life she's had and turn out "normal"...the difference is that Alyss has stopped wishing she was. Now some of her childlike aspects are returning to the surface, such as her curiosity and her inability to sit still for very long. After over a year and a half of wandering around doing just about nothing, she’s ready for some action, to do something thrilling…anything. Especially if it’s something fun, something that can, perhaps, make up for the childhood that she lost along the way.
All the same, the whole "Queen" thing is still an iffy subject for her. Truth is, the whole idea of having this huge plan for herself that really wasn't her choice is bothersome. She would much rather be her own person, make her own plans, but she's still a bit too eager to please to actually put a voice to those sorts of concerns. Besides, at this point she's not really sure of what she would do if she had the option of not being Queen of Wonderland and bringing down Redd Heart. The truth is that, even under this new exterior and this decidedly lighter outlook on life, there is still a part of Alyss that still feels alone, still wants to avoid being left at all costs. She still doesn't quite trust people to just stand by her, how could she?
All the same, the Alyss that once was, melancholy and passive, has certainly dissolved into a more independent and determined girl. Just because she doesn't know if she wants to doesn't quite mean she feels like she absolutely can't. Of course it all seems impossible, but it only will be if she believes it to be so, and she chooses to not believe it.
appearance: Nowadays, Alyss seems to bear a stronger resemblance to her fictional self. Before she was a small brunette, looking as far from Dodgson’s/Carrol’s creation as she possibly could. Then one day, she wakes up, and instead of strands of dark hair, she finds a mass of blonde curls. Her face seems to be squarer, and her complexion somehow manages to be even paler than it was before. She’s still as thin as she was before, but it’s mostly in proportion to her new height…she’s sure she somehow gained a couple of inches in the midst of this very odd transformation.
As for clothing, she still feels more comfortable in a dress than, say, jeans and a t-shirt, but at least she’s given the freedom to not have to wear those bulky dresses that all the ladies that the Liddel’s knew were so fond of for some inexplicable reason. She’ll be far more likely to wear a nice blouse and a flowy skirt these days, and lately it seems as if the colors have brightened somewhat, like she feels like she can now that she feels happier.
history: Like any good story, Alyss' life began in a far away queendom. So far off that you can only reach it from the "Dull World" if you know which puddle to step into. This kingdom was Wonderland, and Alyss was its princess, therefore its future Queen. Little Alyss was spoiled rotten for the first seven years of her life, often playing games of tag with her father, or playing pranks on her teacher, Bibwit, and other such Wonderland officials with her powers of Imagination, or getting both herself and her best friend and future guard Dodge Anders in trouble. Dodge was especially important at this time; it seems that ever since he kissed her on the cheek when she was an infant and he was just four years old, there was a connection between them. She even went so far as to ask if he would be her king one day. He told her he would be if it pleased her, even though he knew, perhaps better than even she did, that due to the class system in Wonderland, that this would be impossible.
Yet her naïve existence ended abruptly, and to think it was all because she found a kitten on her seventh birthday. Because that wasn’t a kitten; it was an assassin created by Alyss’ aunt Redd Heart, who invaded the Heart Palace and killed Alyss’ parents, Dodge’s father and essentially took over all over Wonderland. Seeing as Redd wanted the throne badly enough to kill, Wonderland was no longer safe for its young princess. At her guard, Hatter Maddigan’s, urging, she jumped into the Pool of Tears, even though no one had ever returned to Wonderland from wherever it led.
For Alyss, it led to London, England. The dirty, damp and poor streets, where she managed to find a pack of fellow orphans. It wasn’t much, but they listened to her story about Wonderland, even if enough didn’t believe it, and they managed to make a penny or two with Alyss being able to make flowers sing….until one day, she just couldn’t. That meant they had to resort to stealing, except the orphans up and left her to be captured. She spent quite a bit of time at an orphanage, where she was told that she had to stop telling her story of Wonderland and deal with the “real” horrors she faced. And things only got worse when she was adopted by the Liddel’s. Her adoptive sisters would tease her and just about every adult would scold her for her “nonsense” stories.
And that was why Reverend Dodgson seemed like a God send. Because she thought that he understood, that he believed her…only to discover that he had made a joke of her life story, turned it into a story book for children that wasn’t the least bit close to the truth. Things grew so terrible that Alyss convinced herself that she had just made up Wonderland, because that was easier than being “Odd Alice” for the rest of her life. If she hadn’t gone to Avalon almost two years ago, it would be safe to say she would’ve gone her entire life without believing in her homeland….but she did. Avalon was where she saw her suffering deepen, from Dodge finding another woman, to bringing a man back from the dead only to almost lose control of her Imagination…it’s been a tumultuous time for her. You would think waking up in Tintagel would make matters worse.
But it’s not…
other: The change appears to have brought back her Imagination. It's still her very basic, seven year old skills, but she did save a man's life once. She's sure with enough practice she can bring it to its heights.
