Watching as Arthur drew his own sword, a sudden realisation hit Phoebus, and he stared at the weapon with his mouth open, a similar look on his face to the one he'd had when Arthur had revealed who he was. If this was King Arthur, then that could only be Excalibur, the sword of legends; a hundred new questions suddenly entered Phoebus' mind and he struggled to contain them. Questions could come later, right now he was about to spar with King Arthur! He told himself sternly to get a grip, allowing himself only one question. Alright, two.
"Is that... is that Excalibur? Could I..." Don't say it Phoebus, don't say it... "Could I maybe hold it? Not now, I mean, timing Phoebus, right? But later maybe..."
And now Arthur was letting him choose the means by which they were going to spar... his head was spinning like a child in a sweet shop. He mirrored Arthur and dropped his stance too, considering the question carefully. Swords were out - for one thing Arthur didn't have any armour, and although Phoebus didn't doubt Arthur's skill at all, he also knew he too was a damn good swordsman, and he was not going to be idiot newbie who accidentally wounded the king. Fists were out too - he had plans to begin his attempts to woo Elaine soon, and he had a feeling she wouldn't be too impressed by black eyes. So that left staffs... it certainly seemed the lesser of the three evils, and he knew he'd be able to show his skill as effectively with staffs as he would a sword.
"Erm... staffs?" He said tentatively, sheathing his sword and giving Arthur a small smile.
