Maybe mom and dad would let him go home again, he didn't need friends or an education, he could just be a hermit forever or live at home, anything was better than this.
"I'm fine," he directed his response at Genevieve, but his gaze flicked over to Raff, knowing that his concern was genuine - not to say that Tasha's wasn't, but he felt closer to his brother than either of his sisters, it made it easier to see the care behind the teasing (when it was there, anyway).
He groaned when Tala finally decided to 'help'.
"You don't have to wrestle me," he assured her "Don't listen to Tala. But... Tasha's right I guess, I'm pretty hardy, I get into a lot of scrapes and I usually come out fine at the other end."
Did one of the sisters just say wolf? Her eyebrows raised for the briefest moment, before she turned her attention back to Fox. It wasn’t the first time she’d come across shapeshifters, after all, and in Tintagel you never knew who you were going to run into. Plus she had an odd feeling the siblings might pounce if she commented on it. Although she was tempted to bring up the Fox/wolf thing, purely out of curiosity. Maybe she could save that for later - the siblings surely weren’t going to sit in their English class were they?
“I can’t say I’m much of a wrestler anyway.” Genevieve said, somewhat cautiously, with a slightly nervous smile at Tala. “It’s not really my forte.”
She had noted the concern in the the brother’s question and smiled slightly - with three brothers she recognised big brother protectiveness anywhere. She smiled at Fox. “Well, I’m glad you’re ok. Falling in a ditch can’t be a great start to anyone’s day.” Nor could being followed and hassled by your siblings, she thought, although she was sensible enough not to voice that thought.
She glanced around at the four of them. “So is it just the four of you, or should I be expecting to be ambushed further down the corridor?” She asked with a smile and a teasing sparkle in her eye.

"There's definitely no need for wrestling," Raff agreed hastily. "I mean, if you two want to...wrestle, go for it, but...Tala, no, that's...no." He was still a little stressed over the thought of Fox falling in a ditch. His little brother still hadn't offered any explanation, really, as to how or why he had fallen in the ditch, and Raff was still worrying.
Genevieve was wrong about one thing, though; Raff (and the other two, if he knew them at all, which he was pretty sure he did) were definitely capable of and intending to sit in on Fox's English class if they needed to. In fact, it was probably a good idea, since Fox himself probably wouldn't take very good notes, especially if there was a pretty girl around and he kept getting distracted. Ugh, maybe they should talk to the registrar's office about only having unattractive people in Fox's classes.
"Just the four of us," he said, quickly, before Tala could say something outrageous like yes, there are seventeen of us and some are actual clones. "Don't worry, there aren't any more of us than you could carpool with. Which, if you wanted to, that's always an option if you're looking to go off-campus anywhere too far."

Tasha was honestly impressed by how well the girl was taking this all in her stride, for someone who seemed so sweet and shy, she hadn't run screaming. Perhaps Fox could be allowed to be friends with her, maybe it would make him less likely to snap at them for just looking out for him, it was hardly their fault they knew what was best for him.
Still, Raff seemed to be fretting and she glanced over at him with a raised eyebrow, her gaze flicking to Tala as if to say 'what's with him?', knowing her sister would understand what the look meant. "Getting a little distracted by something riff-Raff?" she asked sweetly. Just because they were all here to gang up on Fox didn't mean they couldn't take a few shots at each other, that's what siblings were for, right?
"It was only going to be three, but Fox here was a bit of a surprise."

Tala rolled her eyes and shrugged, which was pretty much as good as a Raff's an idiot sometimes in sister-speak between her and Tasha. Raff never was quite as good at hassling Fox as either of them were, between Tasha's mothering and Tala's non-stop teasing, they really had that covered. Meanwhile, Raff was over there trying to figure out if he needed to call an ambulance or something over a little mud.
"Yeah, a surprise like a birthday present. Or a surprise like, you know, when you're walking across the yard and you step in a pile of shit. Either or," she agreed. "Depends on the day. And the time of month, because the moon makes a big difference. When it's full moon, you gotta watch out, sometimes he won't even wear a shirt to school." To be honest, they hadn't even been at school long enough for Fox to have done anything during the full moon, but a little thing like reality woulnd't stop Tala from telling wild stories about her little brother's exploits.
"You can talk!" Fox shot back at Tala with an annoyed glare "Dad has to keep reminding you to wear clothes around the house during full moon! She once took down a deer the day before the full moon without even changing form," he told Genevieve, looking smug for a moment before his face fell "although I guess that was kind of impressive..." some days he struggled to catch rabbits, although if his father asked he didn't even try, and if Aunt Judy was around they never, ever caught rabbits.
They'd reached the door to the english room now and he looked round at his siblings somewhat desperately. "Okay.. well... here we are... at class. So I'll see you guys later... right?" he really hoped they took the hint - or, more accurately, that they decided to acquiesce to the blatant pleading he was doing with his eyes.
There was a lot of information being thrown at Genevieve, and as they walked Genevieve tried to process it all. So, four siblings, that was easy enough to cope with. She smiled at Raff and shrugged slightly. "Four isn't so bad. I mean, there's six of us, plus a sort of honourary sister, so we've got you outnumbered there." She raised her eyebrow at Fox with a grin.
The next bit of information was a little more interesting. Apparently Fox turned into a wolf at certain times of the month. And so did Tala. Which probably meant all four of them did. Her eyes widened slightly as her brain processed that information - they were werewolves. Ok, that was fine - you met all sorts at this school after all. She couldn't help her eyes flicking down to Fox's chest as Tala mentioned him coming to school shirtless, and a little voice in the back of her head pointed out that that wouldn't be so bad. And then Fox was talking about Tala taking down a deer... Genevieve glanced over at Tala with a wary look, figuring she was definitely someone not to cross. "That does sound impressive. I'm a terrible hunter, no matter what time of the month it is." She smiled sweetly at Tala, deciding not to comment on the 'time of the month' comments for now. Tala seemed a tad unpredictable, and she didn't want to poke the bear. Or wolf, as it turned out.
As they reached the classroom, Genevieve paused as Fox spoke to his siblings and couldn't help but smirk, biting her lip and lowering her head to try and hide it, before looking up and deciding to try and give Fox a hand. "Oh, I'm sure your siblings don't want to sit through a dull Shakespeare class. Definitely nothing interesting happening in there." She smiled at the triplets again. "Right?"

An honorary sister. Oh, that sounded like even more of a headache. Raff tried to imagine if he had to worry about all three of his siblings along with somebody else's siblings too, and thought he might be getting a headache just thinking about it.
Fox, as usual, tried to pull off a comeback only to accidentally compliment Tala and make her look like a badass. How did that keep happening? He really had to help the kid with his insults one of these days. It was really tragic, the way Tala seemed to embarrass him even when she wasn't saying anything.
"Later?" he echoed, glancing from Fox to Genevieve, then back again, several times. "Later like, in five minutes? Like I'd let these two," he nodded towards Tasha and Tala, "miss out on Shakespeare. They need all the help they can get."

Honestly, Fox could say what he liked about how terrible the triplets were and how they ruined everything (which was blatantly untrue), but he really didn't need the help, he was weird enough all by himself. If it wasn't for them he'd probably scare people away even quicker, they probably made him sound like the sane one in comparison. Not that they were crazy, they were perfectly reasonable people who knew what was best for their little brother.
"Speak for yourself," Tasha sniffed derisively at Raff's comment "I am a very good student and very familiar with Shakespeare,"
The pause was long enough to probably lull Fox and Genevieve into a false sense of security, perhaps even leading them to think they could pit the triplets against each other and slip away in the ensuing chaos. If they were thinking that, they were sorely mistaken.
"So of course I wouldn't want to miss a class on his works, they're a delight. You, on the other hand, riff-Raff, could do with a refresher. Come on, let's go in or we'll make Fox late for his class." she gave the youngest Wilde a nudge towards the classroom door.

Tala was glad Tasha delivered the Shakespeare comeback, because she definitely couldn't have. That was not her thing, not in the slightest, and Raff knew it, that was probably why he'd made that comment in the first place, although he didn't have to lump Tasha in with that. Tasha was great at all that book stuff, and drama stuff, and all the things well-bred ladies were supposed to be good at or whatever.
"We sure don't wanna make Fox late for his class," she emphasized. "I mean, he's never gonna be as good at all that bard stuff as you are, Tash, but he should at least be able to do that one speech with the stabbing or whatever." She was pretty sure there was a speech with some stabbing. Or maybe a speech that preceded a stabbing...whatever, this wasn't her thing.
She grabbed the handle and held open the door to the classroom, gesturing for the other four to go in first. "After all of you," she said, waving a hand. "Make sure you get seats near the front, or Fox might not pay attention. We should probably make him a sign, too, that says 'consider my hand raised' so he doesn't even have to bother volunteering to answer questions."
"I'm so sorry," Fox muttered to Genevieve, even though she was being absolutely lovely and even seemed to be joining in the conversation quite happily, he was pretty sure she was just humouring them and he would be lucky if she ever so much as said hello to him again. She seemed to understand the sibling thing, but even though she had more of them he was pretty certain they didn't follow her around like the triplets were doing right now - in fact they clearly didn't because they weren't here. They definitely didn't follow her to class because no sane human being would do that, but his siblings were definitely not sane and technically not entirely human, so why was he surprised.
As soon as Tala opened the door he darted inside, eyes scanning quickly for the perfect seat in the already busy classroom. He spotted it and jerked his head at Genevieve to indicate where he intended to go before striding purposefully across the room to his goal - two seats next to each other but surrounded by other students. He hoped Genevieve would get there first, but at least if one of the triplets did it was only one sibling instead of all three. Best case scenario they would be forced to sit elsewhere and couldn't bother him. Worst case scenario they all dragged chairs over and bothered him anyway. Or worse, sat elsewhere but yelled across the classroom at him - either way he'd never be able to come back to English again.
