"Oh of course," Merlin nodded encouragingly "University students can be any age, there are residents too, for people who want to stay her but not necessarily attend the school, and obviously some who choose to be teachers because they have knowledge to impart might also wish to study other things while they're here." Not that he was speaking from experience... honest... only he kind of was because there was almost always something new he wanted to learn here, no matter what his role.

In some worlds, maybe there is.... only the god in question would only rule over that world, and not the others connected by portals... or similarly there may be people who believe that but aren't necessarily right. I don't think we can take the existence of certain gods here to be evidence of anything specifically as it relates to our own worlds." even if he was a little smug whenever a Christian met one of the norse or greek gods, but that was his own bias coming into play.
