Aiden felt weighted, but not heavy. She felt the warm comfort of the alcohol dulling her senses and swaying her judgment. She spun the contents of her glass slowly as she watched Cal speak. She was starting to pay less attention to her words and more to the way she moved her lips. One drink was whiskey. That was a good choice. Aiden was a large fan of whiskey, though her poison of choice was dark rum. Like a pirate. Aiden felt like she'd make a pretty decent pirate... wait what was she doing? Ok so she was maybe feeling all these drinks starting to catch up to her, but she insisted on keeping a straight face. She glanced at Cal's drink. Right. The red one. Her eyes flicked back to Cal as she vaguely explained. Energy drink and...blood. It was totally blood, right? Vampire's weren't unheard of around here, obviously Todd didn't shy away from serving it to her. Cal also mentioned nibbling. She was definitely a vampire, this wasn't just her being drunk and crazy...right?
Aiden stopped swirling her glass and raised it to her lips. While the glass obscured her face, she tried to force herself to decide what to do with this information. Nibbling sounded nice-no wait she was a vampire, focus. Ah, what did it matter? She'd been chugging blood all night, what were the chances she was going to try and murder her? Well, there was a little bit of a chance, but that's half the fun. Besides, Mordred would probably be listening at the door and she could say something if she thought she was legitimately going to die.
Aiden shot back the rest of her drink and set it back down on the counter a little too hard. "That was rum, cognac, and triple sec" She said. It tasted delightful, it felt delightful. Aiden was ready to move this party elsewhere. "Todd" Aiden said, her eyes lingering on Cal for a moment longer than she had to, then she turned her attention to the bartender fully. "What time is it?" She asked, playing at sweet. "Just past Two," Todd said, checking his phone. Aiden made a face, grimacing and turning back to Cal. Mocking concern she said "that's past my bed time," and began to slide out of her seat. She closed the gap between her and Cal in a step, but didn't touch her. She just let the static hang in the air, tightening her heart and strengthening the moment.
"What about you?"
