See, this was part of why she wanted back. She could only imagine what kind of adventures she and her old friends would get up to...and hell, just as Merlin said, perhaps they could provide some valuable guidance. After all, she hadn't originally planned to try to be part of the staff, but now...now she was thinking perhaps she should. Judy had made it clear she thought she'd do well as a librarian, and Judy seemed to be one of the most sensible people around here, particularly for someone so young. And wouldn't it be good, if there were as many people as possible in the staff that not only KNEW how things operated at Tintagel, but cared enough to make sure the kids knew it too? Sure they might not LISTEN, but it was worth a shot, right?
Della nodded, her thoughts full of the possibilities here. The fact was, as much as she loved home, loved her family (especially now that it had expanded to Kira, who had so quickly become like a mother she never had), life there was so much...smaller. "Exactly...hell, that's the only reason I felt okay to come back. No way would I if I didn't think I could easily make it home to let Dad know I was okay, so I could only imagine that goes double for you, with all your royal responsibilities..." And she couldn't stop herself from smiling proudly at her friend...really, most of her friends had done so well for themselves. Merlin and Arthur were happily (if secretly) married and running Camelot, Alyss was a wonderful queen and mother...it almost made her forget the bad stuff. That really struck her. Her teenage self definitely wouldn't have been able to look at the bright side so well...nothing like coming back to your alma mater to make you realize how much you had changed, she supposed.
"Just, we were clearly brought back for a reason. Might as well embrace it."
