"That's not really father Michael's style," Luc admitted, grabbing his jacket and standing, waiting for the other people in the pew to shuffle out before edging his way along, waiting at the end for the other two so they could all walk out together. "The whole you're-all-damned, repent-repent-for-you-are-sinners, god will punish you kind of thing... that's more my mother's style. Father Michael is a little more about celebrating god, what we can do for him and what he has done for us, that sort of thing... obviously, you heard the sermon." he smiled a little.
"Is your church back home the more doom and gloom kind?" he asked curiously. He was usually quite diplomatic, and he definitely didn't want to offend Costin, but it was the kind of attitude he disliked, he thought it motivated Christian behaviour much better to be encouraging rather than putting people down all the time.
