"I'll take your word for it." She said in response to his comment regarding the view of his neither regions. She had plenty of other options besides Mordred. She could do without "the view." Anyway she hadn't been feeling much like guys were a good option lately, but definitely not because she was heartbroken by a guy she never even dated. That would be crazy. The point is, he didn't need to worry about her trying to get into his pants. Flirting was one thing, but she wasn't planning on closing the deal.
She took his number and slid it in her back pocket. She'd text him later so he had hers. On a serious note it was pretty important for them to have each other in their phones in case one of them got locked out or they ran out of booze. She nodded slightly in agreement that it only seemed fair. She was a bit proud of herself, a sly grin crossing her lips. A beautiful friendship, indeed. What an odd concept.
She glanced back at her bag when he spoke of it's contents. So, she wasn't the only one paying attention. She didn't respond, but offered him a look that she hoped conveyed "We'll see" before he went.
She pulled the suitcase in behind her and closed the door. She looked around at her new home and felt something strange swelling in her chest. This might be the start of a beautiful friendship. She thought, recalling his words. Was she really going to be sappy about this? Aiden tried to shake it off, but the corners of her mouth remained upturned to spite her. So she hadn't really had a friend before, get over it.
Don't be weird, Aiden. She reminded herself, before tearing the sheets of her bed and throwing them in a corner. She should probably just buy new ones.
