Milo spent the time away from Tintagel (ten years in his time) in desperate pursuit of a means to return to the school. No stranger to believing in things other people considered a myth at best, he has worked tirelessly over the past ten years trying to find any information he could regarding the school and a way to get back to it. While his search proved mostly fruitless, he did manage to earn his PhD in linguistics, which kept him gainfully employed teaching various language classes up until the day he found himself back at this school. Milo headed back here as quickly as he could, intending to get himself a job teaching the same sorts of things he was teaching in his own ordinary world, but since his return, a whirlwind series of events has also seen him elected to the position of headmaster. A little overwhelmed but determined as always, Milo is currently trying to navigate the political waters of his new position, while also trying to be a good teacher and figure out exactly what his situation may be with a certain sun god.
Mumble's life was looking alright up until he was dumped back into his parents' living room. He and his girlfriend, Andrina, had finally worked out their nonsense, and she was teaching him how to survive and contribute to the war effort when he was pushed back into his world, where he found himself quite alone. He has spent the five years that passed there in pursuit of the woman he literally lost, traveling the world searching for her. It turns out you can earn yourself quite a reputation wandering around asking where you can find mermaids, so it's a good thing he didn't get stuck there any longer than he did before he was shoved back here into the magical world. He and Andrina were reunited when she fell out of the portal into the lake, but as usual, these things can never be simple for the two of them, and she arrived back here at the school in full mermaid form, instead of having legs, which has made things a bit difficult for them. They are currently working on a solution to this problem, pursuing various magical routes of inquiry to see if there is anyone here who can assist in giving Andy back her legs.

Bartok ran away back home all on his own after war broke out - he's really not a courageous fellow, which should come as no surprise to anyone who knows him. He went back to being a bat on his own side of the portal, and spent as much time as he possibly could pretending he was just an ordinary bat (which was hard, since he's self-aware and completely sentient even in bat form, thanks to Rasputin). He was yanked back here to Tintagel quite against his own will, although he was incredibly relieved to discover that there no longer seemed to be a war on. He was reunited with his very best friend Giselle, and has made a friend or two since coming back, but he's still struggling with his dark secret - he impulsively lied to Giselle and told her that he had been fighting in the war, instead of the truth. And now he's sort of starting to develop this strange urge to kiss her, and while he hasn't acted upon it just yet, that's only making him feel more confused about the rest of the situation.

Dracula had plans, big plans, for this whole school, especially once a war was happening. He had notions of turning the whole school, raising up an army of magical undead, and from there, the sky would be the limit. Then he got sent back to Transylvania, where he's quite unpopular, and spent the past ten years or so (it's hard to keep track when you're as old as he is) hiding, feeding in secret, skulking around, and being quite miserable. But then his luck seemed to take a turn for the better when he heard that the portals had opened again...and now he's back, and ambitious as ever, ready to recruit unsuspecting students (particularly those with an inclination towards dark magic) to his cause. He has allied himself (for business purposes as well as more personal things) with Morgana, and has let Hades in on his dark plans as well, though nothing has been put into action just yet.

Nick is charming, convincing, and has been known to use those traits for all the wrong reasons. Having spent most of his life fully embracing all the worst qualities expected of a fox, he is used to being to talk his way into or out of just about any situation. He was good at conning people, and it was a way to make a living, so he ran with it. He’s pretty savvy with people, and has instincts that have served him well since he’s been in with law enforcement. Once thoroughly jaded and disenchanted with the world, Nick is a recovering cynic, who has just recently (thanks to some intense life experiences and good influences) begun to let himself start hoping for better things. Even so, he still very much has a chip on his shoulder, and while he tries not to let anyone see that they’ve gotten to him, criticism tends to make him work that much harder to prove himself. He is well-meaning; his schemes have never been evil or vindictive, and he tries not to do any more physical harm than he has to, even in his job with the police force. He came here chasing after his partner, Judy, and the two of them are here to stay for the time being, learning what they can and helping out in whatever ways they're needed.

Baldr was once said to be the wisest of the gods, but someone might have been exaggerating, because he’s about as naive as they come. He has not a mean bone in his body; he is gracious and kind-hearted and generally assumes everyone else is as well. He is brave, sometimes recklessly so, never backing down from a challenge, especially when it means protecting someone weaker. He also has an unshakeable sense of justice, and if he thinks something is unfair, he will speak out, even if it’s something incredibly stupid, like someone not getting a full portion of chicken nuggets at lunch. He is clumsy as all heck, and is frequently frustrated by his limited set of physical abilities in this world, namely the loss of his ability to do absolutely anything and emerge unharmed. Despite his lack of invincibility here, he still has a couple of his lesser powers; he can create light, and he still has dreams of the future, although they are more vague than they used to be, and sometimes they're very misleading (like movie trailers, where they try to make you think one thing is going to happen and it turns out to be strategically edited and something completely different happens). He is here with his brother Hodr; they were granted permission from Hel to come here after they were both killed in a pretty tragic situation that was definitely all Loki's fault, but he cannot return to his own realm until Ragnarök.
Tala is her mother’s daughter in just about every way - she is not exactly personable, and is definitely responsible for starting up a lot of the teasing that goes on between the siblings. She has no patience for fools, or people she thinks are fools, and she automatically assumes everyone is a fool until she is proven wrong. She’s not heartless, she just doesn’t give away her affections easily. When she is attached to someone, though, and this holds particularly true for her family, there is no end to the lengths she would go to stand up for them if they needed it. She is very close to her sister Tasha, and the two of them share a bond that at some times seems almost telepathic to people who don’t know them well. The two of them will often exchange a message in a single glance that might take two less-coordinated people an entire conversation to get across. She doesn't go out of her way to dress up for almost anything, and truly does not understand her sister's obsession with dresses. She is also probably the least private person you might ever meet, and has no qualms about parading around the woods in her birthday suit pre or post transformation.

Costin seems to have picked up some of the worst traits from both of the men who raised him. He has Dracula's self-assured smugness, as well as his cruelty and disregard for the feelings of essentially every other individual he interacts with. The circumstances of his life have left him used to getting what he wants when he wants it, and when that doesn't happen, he can get quite nasty. Perhaps the most defining characteristic Costin has taken away from his raising is his resentment for the men who brought him up. They're immortal, and he has known that virtually all his life. He always assumed that he'd be changed as well once he got to an acceptable age, but now here he is, getting older by the day, and thoroughly impatient for that transformation to occur. And yet, for some reason, he's been sent to this school, very much to his dismay.

Raff was born the first of of four children, although at the time, nobody knew to expect more than three. He came into the world screaming mightily, red-faced and red-headed, but after that, he settled down. As he and his sisters got a little older and learned to walk and talk, he stepped into the role of protector, even when it wasn’t necessarily needed. He has always been the unspoken leader of their little pack, and while he is absolutely not immune to the trouble caused by his siblings, when it comes to the real serious business, he usually gets the final word. Being one of triplets, there’s not really an age difference between most of them, but he frequently reminds his sisters that he emerged from the womb first, and therefore, he is burdened with the great responsibility of looking after the whole pack (and yes that includes you, Fox). Raff is often the voice of reason amongst his siblings; he is a dreamer but he tamps that down most of the time in an attempt to be practical and responsible. He is slender and not particularly muscular, unless he’s in his wolf form, which is bizarrely bulky and not at all what one would expect upon meeting him. He prefers his wolf form for that exact reason, although, like his sisters, he can also transform into a fox at will.

Ezio is far more jaded and cynical than he has any right to be. He’s not stupid; he’s actually pretty bright, but he has never applied himself, and he doesn’t see any point in trying. He adores writing, and is very good at it, but refuses to share much of what he writes with anybody because he’s convinced nothing he ever creates will hold up next to his brother Altair’s brilliance. Despite his obvious inferiority issues, Ezio adores his brother, and Altair is probably the only person Ezio really ever opens up to. He loves his fathers, too, but every interaction he has with them is marred by his firm belief that they will always be much more fond of his brother. He’s not attractive like either of them, he’s not smart like either of them, he doesn’t have Apollo’s charisma or Milo’s gift for languages, and he is convinced he’s never going to live up to the impossible legacy of being the child of an actual god (with a seemingly perfect older brother along with everything else). He smokes too much, drinks too much, keeps odd hours, and generally just makes his parents worry about him all the time. But when Altair came back and headed off to Tintagel to do his teaching thing, Ezio was not going to be left behind again, train wreck or no. He didn’t have Altair’s qualifications, that was obvious, but he buckled down, studied his ass off, and got a certification to teach lower level writing classes. It wasn’t Altair’s offer of two teaching jobs and one guidance counselor job from the same place, but it let him get away from home and follow his brother, and that was all he wanted at the time
