Name:
Edward 'Eddie' Locksley
Age: 17
Parents: Robin and Marian
Personality:
Eddie's a generally good natured boy, a little bitter about his father's expectations and his sister's excellence wherever he fails, but he hides it easily under a smile and does his best to try and turn things around, hoping that somewhere, someday, he'll find something he's actually good at. He can be a little slow sometimes, okay, a lot of the time, and he's easily distracted, making it difficult for him to follow anything too complicated. He's quite trusting and naive, but that doesn't mean he's going to let anybody fool him... or at least, he's going to try not to. Generally he'll follow whatever his best friend Gaston thinks of people, because he trusts Gaston's instincts far better than his own.
Appearance:
When he's standing still and not saying anything, Eddie is dashingly handsome and could probably get any girl he wanted... for all of five seconds. As soon as he tries to move or open his mouth it becomes obvious what his failings are. He keeps saying the wrong thing, he's clumsy and awkward and doesn't know what to do with himself. He can sometimes pull off the good looks and witty repartee if he's memorised it, but while it looks almost right there's still something obviously rehearsed about it.
He's usually pretty scruffy and untidy, mostly because he's usually fallen into some disaster or other and ripped or dirtied his clothing, but he does try his best to clean up when he can.
History: Edward Locksley was supposed to be just like his father, dashing, charming, skilled at archery and fencing and most other forms of combat, at home on horse or on foot, and generally the most wonderful hero of legend there ever was.
Technically he isn't the first born son of Robin and Marian, but since their first son Richard was stolen not long after birth, Eddie filled that gap in their hearts.
He certainly can try and look the part, he knows all the right dashing poses and phrases - unfortunately that's about all he's mastered. Eddie is generally useless at everything, he can't run fast or ride a horse or shoot an arrow, not even passably well. He inexplicably fails at almost everything he sets his hand to, and he's not the brightest penny in the tin to boot.
He can't even be the class clown, that job going to his much wittier best friend, though he does at least get a few laughs with his clumsiness.
While it's obvious his parents love him, he can't help but feel as though he's just a great big disappointment - especially when his elder brother, Richard, came back, and despite the turmoil in the family ever since then, his only claim to anything in the family (being the eldest son) was stolen away from him.
Tintagel is supposed to be a chance to make a name for himself and find an identity of his own, it's just a pity that his brother and sister have both come with him. And that he's still rubbish at everything.
Well...except ice skating... he's actually turning out to be pretty good at that... but he's already a laughing stock, how much worse could it get if they found out he was into figure skating?
